Authors are compensated per page read—if you return a KU book without reading much, the author gets little or nothing. But if you read the book, they are paid a portion of a shared fund based on pages read, regardless of when you return it.

Details here: https://kdp.amazon.com/en_US/help/topic/G201541130

Re: Best Thing Since Sliced Bread?

I'd also add food canning. I aspire to make zines one day but haven't oomphed myself up yet. I have ADHD, which I discovered when getting my now-13-year-old son diagnosed (which turns out to be a super common scenario).

Sarah Lewis
10230 Wateridge Cir #182
San Diego, CA 92121
USA

P.S. I'm still working through the full Desire Map workbook, but the practice of identify, daily, what I want to feel as a result of my work... that seems like it will help me tune in by coming at my intuition a little sideways (sneaking up on it!).

Re: Happy Weekend & Favorite Reads of the Week

What a great list of good thinking, Lisa! I searched in the states where I've previously lived, and found a possible match for "$100+" (it was in a city where I worked but not lived, and my name certainly isn't unusual). I figured, "Well, it *could* be me!" and started the claim process.

Last week, I got a letter asking for verification documents, and the specific address they wanted to verify was my former employer! I dug a little and found a W2 with my name and their address, and mailed off the verification yesterday. I expect the amount will be fairly small, likely just some quirky mis-timing with benefits, but it's exactly like that delightful sensation of finding money in a pocket! :)

Re: Giveaway: OHA Skin Products

My biggest health challenges:
- Finding the balance between "the best choice" and "convenience"
- Prioritizing taking care of myself, especially when it comes to exercise, which feels more like a chore than an indulgence
- Keeping my immune system strong.
