iTunes music store non utilizza mp3 bensì AAC, Advanced Audio Codec, parte audio dello standard MPEG-4.

So, a single month --> a single OPML file? And you cut out the past month from the current OPML file or do you mantain a single mater OPML file for the full blog since day 1?

Just curious of the architecture... and I'm knocking wood to (or, as we say in Italy, touching iron).

A full blog in a single OPML file: how does it scale in the future with, let's say, 1000+ posts? How do you protect it from accidental file corruption? Thanks.

This piece misses the fundamental point about John Gruber: the uniqueness of his writing style, sharp as a razor, and the quality of his argumentations and fact checking.

I'm reading him from the day one and I remember people on usenet in Italy posting links to DF posts and spreading the word.

La mia impressione è che ci sia il multitasking mal supportato: le applicazioni vengono sospese una volta che si preme il tasto home, solo che in un 3GS si vedrebbero sul 3G no. Il riavvio forzato (singolo, triplo non ho provato), azzera tutto ma il telefono rallenta con l'uso, perché lascia appunto le app aperte (mia ipotesi, non sono in grado di verificarla sistematicamente).

A disabilitare spotlight non ho provato.

Un update nel post sarebbe d'uopo per spiegare perché il server è irraggiungibile altrimenti google collega il CINECA ad un progetto che non esiste più.

Hosting apps at home is a matter of choice on availability and performances vs. costs.

As for UGC rights one could use home connection just for regular backups of one's online content.

Anyway I agree with you that for an IT person running services at home is an effective option.
