They believe this highly-complex universe which operates according to specific scientific laws was created by an intelligent designer."

You're full of it mister. "Intelligent design" are just fancy words for magically created. If you deny this then you're not just stupid. You're a liar. You should be ashamed of yourself. It's bad enough you have a childish belief in supernatural magic. Pretending it's something different from magic just makes you look more stupid and very dishonest.

The treason I was talking about are the never ending attempts by morons like yourself to dumb down America's science education. You Christian retards are causing more damage to the future of this country than the 9/11 terrorists.

Re: Texas School Board Invites Critique of Scientific Theories

Believing in magical creation is as insane and childish as believing in a flat earth. All creationists are idiots and a disgrace to the human race.

Don McLeroy, the chairman of the Texas Board of Education, and John West of the Christian creationist Discovery Institute, are scientifically illiterate retards who are trying to destroy science education in America. They're no better than terrorists and if it was up to me they would be put in prison for treason.

Re: WVU’s DarwinFest talk focuses on legal issues of teaching intelligent design

Of course teaching intelligent design in public schools violates the First Amendment. Public schools can't be used to promote religious beliefs. Everyone knows the designer of intelligent design is a magic god fairy, and intelligent design is a religious idea.

If only Darwin knew how famous he is now. Perhaps he predicted he would be famous for a long time. He knew his brilliant natural selection idea would change the world forever. He knew that publishing his ideas would be "like confessing a murder".

Re: Letters to the Editor - Jan 1, 2009 - southphillyreview.com

Milo2110, why should I answer your stupid questions? It's obvious you're willfully ignorant. It's obvious you're not interested in learning anything. No fossils of transitional species? You're a liar. Look it up. Insects were one branch on the tree of life. They're extremely distant cousins but they're not our ancestors. You need to educate yourself before you deserve anyone to bother talking to you.

Re: Letters to the Editor - Jan 1, 2009 - southphillyreview.com

Alfred Essex wrote: "The scientists concluded what they called intelligent design, not natural selection, was the maker of DNA."

Alfred Essex, what Bible colleges do your fake scientists work for? Together with the Free Exercise Clause, ("... or prohibiting the free exercise thereof"), these two clauses make up what are commonly known as the "religion clauses" of the First Amendment.

The establishment clause has generally been interpreted to prohibit 1) the establishment of a national religion by Congress, or 2) the preference of one religion over another or the support of a religious idea with no identifiable secular purpose. The first approach is called the "separationist" or "no aid" interpretation, while the second approach is called the "non-preferentialist" or "accommodationist" interpretation. In separationist interpretation, the clause prohibits Congress from aiding religion in any way even if such aid is made without regard to denomination. The accommodationist interpretation prohibits Congress from preferring one religion over another, but does not prohibit the government's entry into religious domain to make accommodations in order to achieve the purposes of the Free Exercise Clause.

The clause itself was seen as a reaction to the Church of England, established as the official church of England and some of the colonies, during the colonial era.

Prior to the enactment of the Fourteenth Amendment to the United States Constitution in 1868, the Supreme Court generally held that the substantive protections of the Bill of Rights did not apply to state governments.

Subsequently, under the Incorporation doctrine the Bill of Rights have been broadly applied to limit state and local government as well. For example, in the Board of Education of Kiryas Joel Village School District v. Grumet (1994), the majority of the court joined Justice David Souter's opinion, which stated that "government should not prefer one religion to another, or religion to irreligion."

Re: Capitol’s atheist sign fiasco is just the latest - Port Orchard Independent

“Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.”

A lot worse things could be said about religious insanity, including all the violence it causes, and the obvious fact religions make people stupid.

Religious displays, including the Christian baby Jeebus, don't belong in government buildings. The Establishment Clause of the First Amendment must be respected. Absolutely no exceptions.

Re: Atheists Post Hateful Christmas Sign (Guest Voice)

AustinRoth, you're mentally disturbed and your language is disgusting. Telling the truth about the stupidity of religions is not bad taste, for the same reason it's not bad taste to talk about the stupidity of racism. After 9/11/2001 it should be disgraceful to be religious person. Religious insanity is out of control in this world and anyone who still has a medieval belief in a magic god fairy should be ashamed of themselves.

Re: Atheists Post Hateful Christmas Sign (Guest Voice)

Floyd and Mary Beth Brown, There was nothing hateful about that atheist sign, but it might be fair to say my following comments do not respect you or your insane religion. Christianity is a death cult. It's all about death. Jeebus died on the cross. Dead people go to heaven. If the dead person was not stupid enough to believe in Jeebus, the dead person goes to hell. The Bible is full of genocide. Christianity is about death, death, and more death. Christianity would be extinct in one generation if not for the relentless brainwashing of young gullible children. There's no such thing as a moderate Christian because there's nothing moderate about child abuse. That's what religious indoctrination is, child abuse. Even the most moderate Christian believes in heaven, and they believe in heaven because they are cowards who are terrified of reality. I could write several more paragraphs about the hopeless stupidity and insanity of Christians, but I think you get the idea.

Re: Atheists Post Hateful Christmas Sign (Guest Voice)

mlhradio wrote "Bad taste, yes - hatred, no."

Since when is telling the truth "bad taste"?

Re: Atheists Post Hateful Christmas Sign (Guest Voice)

“At this season of the Winter Solstice, may reason prevail. There are no gods, no devils, no angels, no heaven or hell. ... There is only our natural world. Religion is but myth and superstition that hardens hearts and enslaves minds.”

What's hateful about that? It's just the truth. Religions are nothing more than collections of made up stories. Religions cause great harm to people. Any sign that encourages people to throw out their religious insanity can only make the world a better place.
