Gay sex is a distortion and perversion of the true intent and purpose of male and female sexual organs and the sexual act, which is reproduction. The fact that male/female intercourse can produce life (a baby) makes it a pretty darn important function, wouldn't you agree? Sorry S-N-M, but when you perform gay sex you will never be able to bring life in to this world. The covenant of marriage is a vow between the male and female couple to raise and nurture the baby which is the fruit of their physical/sexual bond. A gay couple can never achieve this. Also, man and woman (husband and wife) bring complimentary gifts, skills and emotional benefits to the nurturing, raising and development of a child that a gay couple never can. A child having two fathers can never bring or fulfill to the child the emotional needs that a mother can. The same with a lesbian couple........the child will be missing the important impact of what a father brings. Sorry again S-N-M.......these are just facts of nature that can not change. You can try to distort, manipulate, bend and pervert what nature intends, but it won't work.

It still boggles me that how hard gays fought in Canada for the right to marry, and now that it is legal, only 17% of gays get married (versus 75% of heterosexuals get married)? Massachusetts has gay marriage........why aren't hundreds of thousands of gay Americans moving to Massachusetts to get married, if it's that important? Maybe most gays realize that they cannot fulfill the basic tenent of marriage, reproduction??

The bottom line is the gay community wants the act of sodomy to be accepted, licit, and therefore moral. None of the arguments against gay marriage has to do with bias or bigotry...that's a smokescreen done by the gay community.It has everything to do with the sexual acts of sodomy being against the natural law and the intended primary function of male/female sexual organs, which is reproduction. When a heterosexual couple performs anal sex that too is immoral and against the natural law. The openness to reproduction in the sexual union of a male and female is the physical union of the couple that greatly defines what it is to "be married." They have committed and vowed themselves to raise the potential offspring together. The other is the unitive emotional bonding and complimentariness of man and woman during the sexual act where they are giving fully of themselves. The gay couple can never fulfill these basic tenents of what marriage is. The distorted "union" in gay sex is just that.....sex. There is no complimentary bonding both physically and emotionally. There is no primary function according to nature of possible reproduction. Gay sex is a distortion 9or perversion, if you will) of what nature truly meant for the sexual act.

Her review must be viewed judiciously, given the methodological flaws detailed by Professor Nock in the literature as a whole. Nevertheless, theses studies give some credence to conservative concerns about the effects of homosexual parenting.

Some scientific facts why children need fathers:
If same-sex civil marriage becomes common, most same-sex couples with children would be lesbian couples. This would mean that we would have yet more children being raised apart from fathers. It will be interesting to see how many gay couples take advantage of the law if allowed to marry. Once again, in Canada, only 17% take advantage of the legal right to marry. I read a stat once that the active gay man has on average 50 sexual partners in a lifetime. It seems to me that the main focus in a gay relationship might be the sex, and there is lacking any unitive, bonding love that only a man and a woman can share. One can't deny the complimentariness (or "joining") of a man and a woman both physically and emotionally. Two men together can not have the same complimentariness, whether sexual or emotional. That's a basic fact of nature.

But once again, if we're redefining the definition of marriage, why should it only be redefined as your definition, between "consenting adults?" Then can "consenting adults" include a man marrying his sister? Or marrying his aunt? and who says your definition is the correct one, and someone elses definition is incorrect? Once we redefine marriage to include other groups, then it becomes a relativistic argument.All definitions are legit. What's right for you is right for you. What's right for me is right for me. In all seriousness, I read of a woman that wants to legally marry an F-15 Eagle Fighter jet. No kidding. Once we redefine marriage to anyone's definition...........why then can't she marry the jet??

Incorrect, David! separation of Church and State was actually meant to keep the federal government from interfering (or oppresing) a particular religion, Non religous arguments: if gay marriages are legal and acceptable, then should all marriages be acceptable (polygamy, for example)? If marriage can be "redefined" then couldn't it be redefined for all groups based upon their personal decision and desires (see my posted reply above)?

Where Schariah is legitimate is when he states that the bible does condemn it. Look in Genesis 1-2, 2:24, 5, 19:24-28. Also 2Peter 2:6-10, 1Corinthians 6:9, amongst several places. and for 2000 years the apostolic teaching has always said sodomy is a sin. I don't agree with the harshness of his tone, his reasonable and rationality is why redefine something (marriage) that should not (and can not) be redefined? And let's play slippery slope...........if gays can redefine marriage, why can't polygamists redefine marriage? Or people engaged in beastiality, why can't the redefine marriage as being between a man and a dog? The North American Man/boy (NAMBA) society has already said that if marriage is redefined as to include man-man, woman-woman, they will lobby state laws to have it include man-boy. what's good for the goose is good for the gander. If gays are allowed at the table, then you can not be exclusive, all groups are allowed at the table. If gay groups say that man-boy cannot marry or man-dog can not marry, then aren't they being........dare I say........biggotted??!!

The interesting fact is what has happened in Canada, which legalized gay marriage about ten years ago. While 75% of heterosexuals in Canada get married, only 17% of professed homosexuals (or those that live the gay lifestyle) get married. Why is this? Some believe it is because the homosexual tendency has at its core only to do with sexual attraction and the act of sodomy, not any unitive or bonding act of love. homosexuals want to keep their options open in the event they want too move on to a new sexual partner.

The liberal media will attack Tyree on the word "anarchy" and not debate him on the substance of his argument, that gay marriage is against the natural law and God's will. Christian's should flat out say the reason gay marriage is immoral is because at its core is the act of sodomy, which scripture and tradition has always taught is a grave and mortal sin. In yesterday's Philadelphia Inquirer there was an editorial about the high level of pregnancies in the African American community that end in abortion. 39% of all pregnancies in this community in Philadelphia(almost 4 out of 10 babies) ends in an abortion. These numbers are simply amazing and chilling.With the inauguration of the first African American president, where is the outcry to Obama from the African American ministers/pastors? Attending a local Right to Life march and rally yesterday, there was not one African American minister or lay person attending. Where are they and why such silence? There should be a constant full court press from all of us to the new president to end legalized aportion.

I agree with Sissy, souls are being lost while Pelosi spews her immoral rhetoric and actions. The Catholic Church needs to take action and enter larger in to the fray and send a huge message and excommunicate Pelosi. She has been repeatedly warned. Once again, with her actions, babies are being lost.

For the group, how do we justify paying FICA knowing the money goes towards abortions? "Render unto Ceasar", but what actions can be taken knowing our tax dollars fund abortions now? Any thoughts??

I've read where Pelosi, even after her meeting with Pope Benedict, is still staunchly pro-abortion. If anyone knows....what happens now? Should her bishop publicly state that she should not receive Communion? Should she be publickly excommunicated? Any thoughts? I think some action should be taken. If we are to uphold as a faith the sacrednesss of the Eucharist, some type of statement should be made. If not, Catholics might think it's OK to receive the Body, Blood of Christ in a state of mortal sin.
