If our local fire district would spend more time inspecting and educating business owners and less time in consolidation meetings, our community would be much safer. I wonder when this facility was last inspected by CKFR? During the inspection, were employees and management reminded about the importance of cleaning on and around cooking equipment to prevent grease build-up? Fortunately, no employees or fire department personnel were injured during this incident. C'mon fire inspectors, this was an easy fix and would have saved this business owner much time/money. Fire Chief and Fire Commissioners, lets focus on the important stuff, like preventing fires and keeping the public safe.
