To be honest, this was the case way before. For me the, the learning curve for Rails was pretty high, mostly due to the numerous components with which it was necessary to familiarize myself. The easy howto videos mostly focused on the power of generators, which, as a beginner, seemed to allow me to build exactly the application presented in the tutorial but not much more. By the time I actually liked Rails, I wasn't a beginner anymore.&lt;/p&gt;&lt;p&gt;There are a billion things to consider when building a full-scale web application, especially when it comes to security. For beginners, maybe the focus needs to be on lighter-weight frameworks such as Sinatra or simpler node.js apps?
