I tend to think that if we have QE2, market is NOT going to rally as it is priced in already and we may even get sell the news. "If we don't have QE2"? I think that chance going to be remote as how can economy recover without "real" job creation? And if you think this economy going to recover, please tell me first, how we going to get all the job that we've exported to china, mexico, vietnam, etc, back?

Re: 10/08/2010 Market Recap: No 2 Consecutive Up Days for 3 Weeks

But intersting why the equity did not shoot up if bear capitulation? No one has faith in it anymore. Yes you can say retail are dumb and that market will keep on going up forever when retail are not participating. But the truth (for me at least) is that government is just making things worst by constantly manipulating the market (direct or indirect) and the result is wild gyration like we seen on the super rise a few month ago and then the flash crash. Stock market used to be basd on fundamental but now days it is simply a playground for the hedgers, HFT and the government. No wonder people are getting the hell out and stay out. Stock market has turn into a place where few elite make money because they get information ahead of the time. If we keep this going, I think the outcome will be ugly in the end...

Re: 10/08/2010 Market Recap: No 2 Consecutive Up Days for 3 Weeks

What I'm trying to say is that although I don't have history of Cobra's comment section, I think during last few peaks, there are probably more bearish comment then bullish. I think above data presented by Cobra is more "unbias". I mean people can say whatever they like, but money talk and it seems hedgers and option player (ie Friday's ISEE) has spoken and by the look at the data above, you can be the judge... espeically the COT data...

Re: 10/08/2010 Market Recap: No 2 Consecutive Up Days for 3 Weeks

Hm, not suer which blogs do you visit, but from

http://tickersense.typepad....

it seems bloggers are bullish and the trend of blogger bullish has been going up and bearish blogger has been going down.

When you see market going up consistantly (without good size pull back) you going to see more people trying to short and post comment becuase they are on the losing side and trying to justify it. It may just mean bulls are being complacent and trying to ignor everything.

Re: 10/08/2010 Market Recap: No 2 Consecutive Up Days for 3 Weeks

I was thinking more of mega phone pattern... ( you need to draw your top resistance line from your two head and you see a mega phone pattern). The only thing I am not sure is are we in wave "D" or Wave "E"? If we are in wave "D" then we will top 2007's high just by a little to hit the top resistance line and then a nastyh wave "E" to take us to 400s and wipe out all the gain from breakout of 1995. If we are in wave E then we get a blow off top to break the upper resistance line and then we fall to ZERO at 2012 end of world...

Re: 10/08/2010 After Bell Quick Summary

Is ok, when mutual fund run out of buying power, FED will pomo us to death...

Re: 10/08/2010 After Bell Quick Summary

Hm... not really, maybe just the blog that you read are bearish?
