Some of you ignorant white people need to go take a history lesson. The amount of ignorance here is breathtaking. You blame an entire race for their own decline when that decline and destruction was brought on by whites in the first place. Whites forced Africans to be here. Holy shit, I can't even stomach the ignorance here. Aggression towards whites... let's overlook the fact that all Africans in America were forced to be here... by whites. Let's also ignore the fact that even today, America and every country on Earth benefits from the plunder and robbery of Africa's resources at the expense of its people. Goodness, how dare Africans act aggressively towards a nation built by whites on the genocide, enslavement and destruction of their entire civilization. Let's overlook the fact that his attitude and ideologies are rooted in colonialism and an oppressive system. I mean, if we're going to talk about the root of the problem, then let's go to the root of the problem. Mental illness does not make individuals develop hatred towards people overnight. This is not some fantasy theory. It's a fact. Racism is nothing more than the twisted ideology of white, European colonialism. End of story. Mental illness is the narrative that the mainstream media wants to push like they always do with violent white criminals. Perhaps mental illness and drug use was involved, but they are not the cause.

Do you honestly think he was pulled over by the same exact police officers all of those 24 times? White police are the only ones sent into the African neighborhoods here. They profile constantly. It's a known issue. It led to a death in 1996 here, which lead to riots. It also doesn't help that the chief of police is African himself and has repeatedly refused to personally respond to the complaints of people from the neighborhoods where those profiling issues arise.

Define creating a hazard. By the definition of police apologists, anyone filming or observing police from a distance are essentially obstructing justice. The reason they decided to call it obstruction was because he refused to leave when asked, despite allegedly not doing anything other than observing from a distance. It's kind of like being arrested for resisting arrest. I've filmed police from a distance where nothing I did impeded the work of the officers and nobody bothered me. That's because I was within my rights. If I walked right up into their scene and created a distraction, then I would deserve to be hauled off if I failed to heed a warning.

If your belongings are taken during an arrest and only a portion of what was taken is returned, I'd consider them stolen. Of course the automatic defense when it comes to the notebook is that it was somehow related to their arrest and considered evidence (even though it probably contained nothing of real value).

It's not trolling. It's holding police accountable for their actions. It's similar to the way they profile people and intervene with our daily lives, except we pay their salaries and copblockers get paid nothing. Time and time again, police departments have demonstrated that they will not hold their officers accountable for their illegal actions. Time and time again, courts have sided on that of the police in privately-held decisions that the public has no say or feedback in.

These blanket statements that glaze over black and white laws and actions are getting really stale. Like I've said before, you don't have to like the person's actions or attitude, but if they are within their rights and then their rights are violated, what you think doesn't matter at all. The only thing that matters is that the officers involved need to be held accountable. Copblockers are involving themselves in an ad-hoc manner to document police brutality because nobody else will.

If you are a cop that has done nothing illegal in your career but you constantly turn a blind eye when your colleagues are violating people's rights, I have bad news for you: you are not one of the good cops. You're just a spineless asshole that collects a paycheck.

Anyone that takes legal advice from such a site deserves what they get. People need to go above and beyond and review the laws of their state and city. This isn't rocket science. Do your due diligence or don't be surprised when your plan backfires on you.

I think that's a big part. Getting vocal with police officers just aggravates them needlessly. People should mix their actions with what is often done at DUI checkpoints now: say absolutely nothing because you are not required to (or just state that you are going to remain silent). There's a point where people just need to walk away though for nothing more than their own personal well being. I commend anyone that is willing to put themselves on the line to hold police accountable, but the amount of absolutely batshit police officers in the US is astounding. I'd rather live to see the next day than become a martyr that would have their name slandered in the daily newspaper the next day.

Filming from a distance is not obstruction, nor is it an arrestable offense. If you're standing like 10 feet away from the scene and you're actually obstructing an officer's work, sure, you deserve the suspicion. Otherwise, I don't get this mentality. You don't have to like his actions. From what his recall states, he was within his rights. The recollection could be altered to benefit him, but that's not what anyone here is basing their assessment on because that's pointless. If something else surfaces then we should re-assess.

Laws are black and white. This is what cop apologists, cops and people in the gray area don't seem to get. You don't have to like the person or their attitude in these stories. I've seen tons of videos where people are complete douche bags but they were still acting within their rights. If they're acting within their rights, then there is nothing they should be arrested for. This isn't a religious tome that you can interpret however the hell you want.

I've filmed police from a distance with no repercussions. It's nice to encounter officers that actually know the laws they're supposed to be upholding.

I have concern when I see officers wandering around looking suspicious, but since they wear a uniform, I'm apparently just expected to let them go about their business. It doesn't matter if you feel like his actions were ridiculous because he was entirely within his rights. He was tased for filming (violation 1); his belongings were stolen and not properly documented (violation 2); he was arrested without reason or provocation (violation 3); he was held in a cell without due process (violation 4). I'm sure there are others but I can't be bothered to list them.

I'm all about holding police accountable, but I have to draw the line somewhere with these stories. According to other sources, the children are speaking in Arabic and other videos show them being violent and unruly; striking the guards, biting, etc. If we're going to call police out on their foul actions, we need to be clear on the facts so that we have a solid foundation, otherwise we're no better than any of them. Any time a child is restrained by police or in this case security guards, people are going to be outraged. There is no real way to restrain an unruly, violent child without looking like a monster.

If these guards were assaulting the children (there are 2 of them; this video does not show the second) without justification, I would be completely on the side of this article. The truth though is that these kids were potentially a threat to train station patrons and they had to be restrained in one way or another.
