Thanks for saying all of this, even though I think it was unnecessary to apologize. It wasn't that big of a blunder. I'm going to copy in my recommendations on how to write a better roundup list, that I posted in the group I run, All About WordPress. I believe one of my mods removed your article from the group because it didn't have the proper WordPress Wednesday hashtag in it (which is a rule.)

If you're going to make round ups of people in the WordPress community to follow, here's some tips to follow, in order to not be that regurgitated list. I've been in the community, like forever now, and I've seen oodles of WordPress community follow lists. I know many of the people in those list, quite well.

However, a lot of others have seen those lists too, and not very many of them add much value. So, here's some tips to consider, when making your own Who's Who WordPress Community list:

1. Don't go by Twitter alone. Some of us aren't just WordPress community members. Some of us are parts of other communities, like overall tech, internet marketing, law, and more. Look at WordPress TV, stand out blogs (GoDaddy Garage, Torque, WP Beginner) WordCamp Central, WordCamp sites, WordPress org Support forum, major plugin dev sites, and much more, to see who is contributing to the community.

2. Make a list of people and gather their twitter handle, website, general bio. Maybe even include what they specialize in, when it comes to WordPress.

3. Add a personal write-up about that individual, on why they deserve to be included in that list. How do they contribute to the community. Why do they matter, as people to follow?

4. Rather than a huge general list, try other types of smaller laser-focused lists. Like WordPress Developers to follow, WordPress Agencies to follow, WordPress Designers to follow, Women in WordPress to follow, WordPress Support People to follow.

5. Think about reaching out to the individuals on the list you're gathering, and create a companion article to link to, asking individuals a few questions about why they love to contribute to the community and also recommendations on how to contribute... to name a few questions.

Let's add value to the community by going that extra step. ;)

I'm still learning a lot about pet nutrition for my 2 cats. I'm always concerned about one thing or another, but so far they are good with the food they have. I may have to check out this and see if I can get samples, and see how my cats like it. However, one of the things I've learned about cats is that they are carnivores, and vegetables are not actually suppose to be a part of their diet. You can use it to regulate, but usually veggies are for dogs.

I think what has helped me is having a to do list and getting great sleep. I could wake up in the morning, not even have a coffee, and already be on my first task of the day. Usually water first thing before coffee is always good... it gets the body even if the brain is sluggish.

I was in Girl Scouts, all the way up to cadet. I loved it. I wish more girls were in it, but in my area, it seems like there are a lot of parents who can't afford it. I kind of wish I could just ask other parents to put a donation pot together so some girls can have the opportunity like myself, and these gals in your pics.

This is great that you've made that much in a month. I'm to the point in my business, while I do work for Yoast, I also run my own business, and the social media part, I've been held up on as I'm trying to make sure my projects are done. I took on another developer, but haven't been motivated to find a VA for social media yet until I saw the numbers you pay out for yours.

I haven't even begun my recap of WCLV. It was awesome. Can't wait to see you in WCORL in November. I'll need to buy you a couple drinks for sharing an Uber ride, Josh.

I know from this event, I made a lot of great connections, re-established some old ones, and even had a lot more time to enjoy myself.

I love that WCLV had the Q&A. We did somewhat something like that for a couple months when I was hosting locally, but focused on a specific talk, and let people weigh in during the lecture. They really seem to open up to that... and the same thing happened at WCLV. I'd like to propose it for STL's WordCamp because I think they'd enjoy it too.

Everyone has their own thing. Mine is working on exercising. The eating is not the issue. I was a 3 sport athlete and went to being a mom... and never got back to being active until recently.

If you like something more spicy with this, try serrano peppers. Cut them raw and small, and add, or get the pickled serrano peppers in a can, and eat a bite of one and a bit of your tostada... it's good stuff. :)

Mayor Kent obviously looked uncomfortable on television trying to talk out whatever compromise she was trying to feed to the residents of Elephant Butte. Doing the right thing and doing what your residents want is far better than letting some one councilor who is a business owner of several businesses with "Butte" in all of his businesses... this is a conflict of interest for him to be involved in the vote too.

Naming 1/2 a mile of 195 is a cop out, unacceptable, and costly. I'd love to see an Open Data group on some of their expenses. Hmm... I heard about the 40K monuments that you could've paid half the price for... shame on you again, City Council of Elephant Butte.

Their support is actually USING Veteran volunteers to put out flags for ceremonies and events, rather than pay their city employees to do it.

I don't even live there, but I have family who lives there. This situation leaves a bad taste in my mouth, especially since I live in an area of Southern Illinois, in which the one city council of Mount Vernon is currently being investigated by the Attorney General of Illinois.

Oh goodness... just the pic alone is making me hungry. When I make them (a slightly different recipe), my brother-in-law somehow shows up. I have to set a limit or they'd be gone before I got to eat one... lol

We really need more emphasis on vegetables in the US. I've got to say that I've allowed myself to rely on convenient junk foods until a couple months ago. I've been gradually replacing them with more whole foods, vegetables and fruits... and without added sugars and a ton of preservatives.

Don't be too hard on yourself. At least you've got a healthy dose of realization that other parents don't have, and their children suffer for it. You love your kid and it looks like you're wanting to be better, but make sure your kid is loved.

I think for my kid, I'd like to take him to more places that he can learn culture. Sure, he's half Latino and he's lucky to spend about a month in Mexico each year, but I'd like him to grow to be a man that is not just interesting, but extraordinary. He's on board with the idea because he's always saying "hey mom... you did that before... can we do that together or go to that place together too?"
