So.cl has been a great opportunity for us here in FUSE Labs to build a scalable social network on Windows Azure, along with creating and testing new user experiences around social media. I know not all social networks are for everyone, but I certainly invite people to come by, try it out and most importantly, give us feedback!

To our eyes; social media is still young; it's not a "solved" thing; every new site on the Internet in some ways is an experiment. In Socl we want to provide a great place for creative people to come and create and share and discover and collect things they like. In turn, creating these experiences also allows us to collect feedback and ideas for teams all around Microsoft.

My wife (the mountain biker in the family) was fascinated by this. It's one of those things though you want to see and try before you invest in I think.
