I can totally relate to how you feel. I am a SAHM to four kids and I know how it can be to feel under appreciated and overworked.

About three months or so ago Lee told me that HE went to work and worked hard and that I got to stay home and play with the kids all day and do nothing. I got really angry with him because it was then that i realized I was not appreciated for what I did. So one day he went to work, and I didn't. I left the dishes in the sink, the kitchen a mess, toys everywhere, laundry baskets overflowing, the house looked like a tornado went through and upturned each and every room and I just went outside with the kids and played and ignored the mess for the day. Lee came home to the house like that, he asked me what happened to the house, I informed him I took a vacation day from my job, this is what happens when I go on vacation and then I told him I was still on vacation and it was his turn to do my job, which he did.

All of a sudden it was like a lightbulb clicked in his head, ok so she really does work and although he is not here to see my job and all I do he finally understands that the house does not clean itself nor do any of the other chores get done as well as kids being clean and fed.

Hang in there momma, it does get better as the kids get older they can help more but perhaps you should take a vacation day, just leave the house and a note for your husband that you took a vacation day, the maid is out and perhaps he should bend over and pick something up.
