I just had a birthday come up from someone that I don't know who lives in my city who I am "Friends" with. She seems like a great young woman, but I have no idea who she is.

Re: Tweaking your game with Google Spreadsheets

This is a great use of Google Spreadsheets. I've been looking at this for my job at ISU with some of the data that we work with on the lab team. Very cool work!

Re: Lively: Has Google Jumped the Shark?

I wasn't surprised by this and even expected it to a point. But I wasn't very impressed by it either. as others have noted, the 3D chat world is convoluted at best in my mind. My experience with it was pretty limited, but at least it was better than my experience with Second Life. 3D spambots are not my idea of a good time. I had enough of $$$.MAKE.MONEY.FAST.$$$ schemes on usenet. At least the private islands were more pleasant.

Re: Bill Gates… Thanks For Your Contributions To The Game Industry

Any blog that has Flight Simulator (or Jet, which I also loved), TIM, and Starflight in it is an instant win for me. Of course, Dungeon Master on the Amiga was a win for me as well! I want Starflight 3, but I don't get to play games as much as I used to back in the day. One of the things that I've always had to commend Bill on was solid vision. I may not always have agreed or liked the vision, but he always seemed to have a solid one.

Re: Warren Spector’s Favorite Games In GGE Widget

Answering the call as well!

Not-so-strangely, Warren's list is eerily similar to my own.

I would love to see GGE take off more. I loved the concept of it and its execution. I just wish that priorities hadn't shifted away from it. It's one of the cleaner social networking sites I've been involved with.
