wait a min, he didn't rape her. do you have amnesia? Annette would go to Heiner to sleep with him in hopes he'd go back to loving her. This prolonged Annette to stay with him, sort of as a false hope, because he never refused her sexual advances. also, its implied that her pregnancies failed in the past because the sleep medication the dr prescribed her affects fertility. she had been skipping and saving up the sleep meds in that blue tin, which is probably what made the pregnancy viable.

purr. my understanding so far:

Mc is the nephew of the lord of kallak. His Uncle, the lord, had no children and loved MC, so MC was basically crown prince. His actual title is different, but. whatever. as crown prince of kallak, he did his duties and met the male lead. they worked together n fell in love. slay.

then, Mc got a brain bug that gives him "madness." he had a madness episode and pushed his father off a building to death. This was treason so MC and his mother were either to die or be imprisioned in a tower forever. they chose tower, and the mom died in the tower. MC begged to not be killed, and some deal was struck where MC would serve under the Glendale lady. MC takes meds to calm the madness brain bug, but it erased his memories of ML. It seems there was some plan to restore MC's position in the works. Glendale lady's brother, MC's master up till ch 34? is a pos and gave MC ptsd and beatings. ML is pissed when he sees MC's bruises. Glendale lady seems to have been supposed to keep MC safe while greater things are at work.

the arts super good but like. the story would've flowed better if his mom was already in a coma or something. idk the mom bring run through and then in a hospital twist was kinda wack, bc that hit looked like a fatality. also if the system had a message like "gate cleared" mc didnt know about at first that'd help establish what the system is more. its been hinted there are several players, so after a decade i think the system that empowers players should be more integrated. and i mean he's been with it for 3,000 so he really shoulda gotten a notif
