The grumble mentions "the full, downloadable iPlayer may never be made available to those who do not use the latest versions of Windows".

It's not actually available to people using the latest version of Windows. Vista support is apparently coming "sometime soon".

As much as I shouldn't nerd out about this, I can't help staring at the location bar when I'm on a google page now. It's almost hypnotic.

the userlist functionality has sold me. I love all the feeds I get from ZDNet and The Guardian, but they kinda overshadow my mates' tweets sometimes. it's nice to be able to filter everything.

I'm personally happy for a breather. Games that are taking months to play like Mass Effect and Fallout 3 are taking a lot more time than that - try having a kid.

I've found myself playing the more casual games, due to my lack of time, so becoming a deft hand at Uno and having the odd 5 minute round of FIFA 09.

I long for the time to be able to finish Mass Effect, and really am not looking forward to the sequel ... yet.

I've had enough trouble trying to make the more luddite element of my circle (friends, family) understand Gmail, now this? It'll take off - for sure - among the clued in, like myself.

It's going to take an awful lot to get the luddite masses to shed email and "catch the wave", though.

There's still a few issues for me before I sign up, including getting some more of the indies on board - like ZTT, KLF Communications, etc. and having the proper titles scrobble over to Last.fm ... no song has "2009 Remastered Version" as a mix name.

I'm also enjoying the ad for Suitopia. Reminds me of the old TV ads that ran on U62 in Detroit back in the 80s.

i grabbed a download from Spotify, and thankfully it was 3.17

is there a changelog or release info anywhere that outlines what else was changed? Spotify's website was quite barren when it came to info about this update.

I already use Spotify more than I use iTunes. At work I don't have any music program installed apart from Spotify and at home I tend to use iTunes only for the stuff that isn't on Spotify - like live bootlegs, and rare remixes, etc. Get that onto Spotify and I see the reasons to use iTunes (or similar) dropping.
