I have CloudFlare installed and configured properly on our site. It is setup correctly to use the "always on" feature. I recently had the server go down a few times and I received a cryptic 504 error page from CloudFlare, not cached content. This happened multiple times over multiple days.
I was trying to access the homepage which one would imagine would be constantly cached.
I received a reply (a few days later from support and yes I have a paid account) and was told what I read in this article. That not all pages are cached—and like I said this was the homepage. I'm still surprised by this.
Anyhow, just sharing my real-world experience with CloudFlare for what its worth.

Hi Bhanu,
No, the children pages should not inherit the custom template unless you select the template from the drop-down. Although if you wanted to get crafty, you might be able to write some PHP to do it automatically for you. Hope this helps.

your conditional statement is using "is_category"
Try using "in_category" to see if that helps.

Could be your Multimedia box, pretty sure it is.
You can turn that off in Thesis design preferences.

Hi ccmkramer,
If you login via FTP you can open your custom_functions file and take out the offending php.

The error is in your custom_functions.php file. Once you remove the offending code your site will come back online.

That is provided by default by Thesis.
You need to check you css file to make sure you are not hiding it.

Have not tested this tutorial with 1.8 yet so its possible this may break. Both WordPress, Thesis, and Next Gen have all had upgrades since this tutorial.

Hi,
The search box code you copy from Google is pasted into a sidebar widget. And as for the ID I believe you are correct. I don't see a way for it to be used. :-)

I have a tutorial coming up soon that will show you how to achieve 4 different page layouts using a 3 column standard Thesis display and about a dozen lines of CSS code. Hope to post soon. I think it will either provide you with an answer or give you inspiration. Hope this helps.

Hi ak,

You are partly on the right track.

You need to use the is_page() function and test for your specific blog page.

For example:

is_page('blog')

if the "slug" of your page is "blog"

Also, be sure to have your "blog" page set to use a custom template from the dropdown menu in the page admin.

Brandon, You need to create another sidebar, use a 'hook' to insert the sidebar before the MM-box, then use some crafty CSS to get it sized and displaying properly. Hope this helps.

Matthew is correct.
You use '.custom' in front of any page element to over ride what is
already set style wise.
