I suggested the same thing in a comment down a ways. Seems like a good idea, honesty in government at last. Keep bids from both parties and put the money in the treasury.

At some point we need to stop kidding ourselves. I have a plan that would make the government more transparent and reduce the deficit. Instead of wasting all this time and energy pretending that voting matters why don't we just have an auction for each position? The two candidates spend time raising money just like usual then at the end both write the treasury a check and whoever has the bigger check gets the office.

They say it takes like 15lbs of vegetables to make one pound of meat. In that case I'm eating many times more vegetables than most vegetarians.

The american prison system is horrible and brutal and likely violates the 8th amendment in many cases. Its one redeeming quality is it takes care of sicks fucks like these rather well.

Suing governments is many many times harder than suing private organizations. That might be part of the reason I can't imagine this happening in a private school, but a government school seems almost plausible.

The problem with this argument is that you have no choice but to use monopoly services. Taken to its extreme no one would have any right to complain under a completly totalitarian government that controlled every aspect of life since they used government "services".
