I think that Squadcast.fm needs to be included in this article. While I've not used every service listed here, I find that Squadcast is as good as (probably better than) Zencastr and Ringr in terms of stability, ease of use, and audio quality.

Squadcast is my number one recommendation when people are looking for a way to record high quality remote interviews.

I totally agree. Distraction is so easy and I think that God is ALWAYS trying to call us back to our first love. And then deeper.

Thanks so much TC. Even weeks after our interview, I'm struggling with what Sharon shared - trying to understand better. I feel like there's so much ground to make up.

I do want to say that Sharon is incredibly full of grace. I don't mind sharing that she provided feedback on the summary that I had originally put with this and pointed out some things that were incorrect with that. But even the way she did that was so full of grace.

I'm honored to have been part of this and continue to wait to see what God is doing with it in and through my life.

Steve, good stuff. Love what you shared about working out and your perspective on "feeling" something. Great wake-up call.

Also, I totally hear you about working from your priority choices. I've been doing a little work for hire, too, and am having to balance everything as best I can to deliver on what I offer for free (podcast, email newsletter, blog posts, etc.) and the work I'm getting paid for.

I have a little more financial flexibility because of the full-time job but am certainly in the "stretched" area.

Even though I miss hearing your sultry voice in my podcast app as often, I'm glad to hear about the additional income.

So true, @TCAvey. I remember being so surprised to discover that some nations were sending missionaries to the US. It was then that I realized that global missions really is just that - global missions.

Love the article. I've been trying to find language to describe the different kinds of trips that can be relevant. It's certainly a hot topic.

A couple trip types that might also enter our language could be:

1. Service / work - the kind of trip where we build or repair something
2. Evangelism / outreach

I realize that all of these trip types can be a little interchangeable or, perhaps overlap. But I do think it helps to have some perspective on the "mission" of the trip.

Of course, underpinning all of the types should be love, a heart to serve, and obedience to Christ. And a big part of that is likely the preparation that goes into the trip.

Hi TC. Welcome back! I was wondering if I'd missed something and then I saw this come across in my RSS feed.

Things are still humming along with the Engaging Missions Show. I've grown my team (slightly), which is freeing up some of my time so that I can focus more on growing and improving instead of editing audio and writing show notes.

It's an interesting transition.
