I've gotten invitations from a few people all at once recently. The most recent of which was my bestest buddy Erica, so please don't think I was calling you out with this. If anyone, I was calling HER out. But I wasn't, and wouldn't--it's just an email. I was commenting more on my lack of actual reading and therefore my limited contributive appeal to a site called Goodreads. Sorry if you thought this was a passive-aggressive swipe against you; it was never intended to be.

No teeth removal, so no (obvious) need for painkillers. Monitoring his eating and drinking, which isn't great right now. Going back to the vet on Monday if no improvement--the emergency vet here sucks sucks sucks.

An interesting idea. I think I like it. I vastly prefer the new system-supported retweet over the current RT standard.

Interestingly because of retweet-collapsing, retweeting could replace favoriting for props purposes, and this interface could replace something like favrd, and make it much easier for people to find other people worth following. It remains to be seen how much retweets are going to fuck with our twitter streams, but I think it'll be good.

Be careful with the email address you use for your account on Twitter. If someone were to use the look-up-all-of-the-people-in-my-address-book function on the site, they'd find you if they had your email address, even if nothing purportedly public identifies you.

If this was taken with an iPhone, vimeo claims that they get auto-rotated now. Since that didn't happen, you can take it into iMovie and rotate it there. Quicktime Pro can also do it, I think.

Yeah, that glucose stuff is crazy. At least you're doing them at home instead of taking the cat to the vet every so often to run a glucose curve all day, which is what my mom did with her diabetic cat. The nerve damage is very sad. Our cat has trouble in the back legs so going up and down stairs is difficult and she can't jump up onto anything except the couch. If we have to move to DC I'm not sure what we're gonna do with her--I don't want to fuck her up with a bunch of stress, but, you know, nobody wants to take a sick kitty and I don't want to give her up.

You're totally right about the term "leaderboard," and I should have at least googled it once. I edited the post to reflect this. Thank you for correcting me.

I agree with you completely on the irrationality of much of the emotional sniping people have done to Favrd's "competition" in its space. Favrd has, for better or worse, not added a single feature besides an iPhone interface in the year+ that I've been using it. (At least, again, as far as I am aware.) People are emotionally attached to favrd, though given favrd's recent growth in users and tweets I see that lessening.
