Im going to switch!&lt;/p&gt;</description><dc:creator xmlns:dc="http://purl.org/dc/elements/1.1/">bbrayshay</dc:creator><pubDate>Sat, 15 Mar 2025 22:33:02 -0000</pubDate></item><item><title>Re: Road closures sparks Islington Town Hall protest</title><link>http://islingtontribune.com/article/road-closures-sparks-islington-town-hall-protest#comment-5007532607</link><description>&lt;p&gt;Reading through the previous comments and looking at the IBC Transport Plan proposals of which the low traffic zones are a part of - I think there is a lot of misunderstanding about the impact of the schemes .I would like to congratulate IBC on making bold moves to create healthier and safer streets in Islington - for too long the car lobby have prevented any significant changes happening to limit their "freedom of the road" while the rest of us are poisoned by their exhaust fumes and the planet burns! The opportunity here is to experience the benefits (and any problems) resulting from the implementation of the schemes – rather than spending years in consultation which, we know from the past, results in nothing being done -- &lt;br&gt;I am sure that provision can and has be made for Blue Badge holders and other less able residents to access their properties – rather than shouting it down without giving the schemes a chance – why not give them a go?
