This is a really romantic notion, but just because you want something and it's going to make you happy, that doesn't mean it's ever going to happen. Not to be a cynic or anything, but more often than not people don't get the things that make them happy. I'd love to think that things can work out for people and that their lives will be filled with sunshine and rainbows, but unfortunately that's just not the case.

I get into this kind of ...frame of mind a lot too. But I realized that all these petty little things that I too often let get to me, don't matter in the long run. My family and my best friends, they matter. These relationships are the only things that are going to be there if I do something stupid or I fail out of school or never have my dream job. All of the goals people set for themselves and all the B.S that we deal with on a daily basis ...nothing is as important as the people in your life. It's just unfortunate that sometimes people don't realize that until it's too late.

You can live life to the fullest as much as you want ...but I truly think that remembering the people you surround yourself with is the most important part of live.

I'm not a firm believer in there being a specific purpose for anyone, or the notion of fate or destiny. I think all of the choices and decisions we make, as a collective people and on a personal level, form new paths and choices to make. "Every action has a reaction" and I firmly believe that we carve our own paths. Every choice I've made, success I've had or mistake I made, led me to be the person I am at this moment. I am who I am because of me. And you are who you are because of you, not anyone else. And I think all anyone can hope to do in this life is be the best version of themselves that they know how to be, and hope that they learn and grow. Always striving to be the best version of themselves, because what's the point of selling yourself short?

Ha! I feel the same way about GG. There is something about Hilary Duff that I just adore. She's so cute and I just want to be her best friend.
I also feel the same way about pop culture, and tv. I never understood people that don't like tv. It is such a fantastic creative outlet. You can create any world you like. And getting lost in characters and being emotionally invested is also such a fun part.

I don't think anyone can tell you what the solution to this might be. Every one is going to have their own views on the matter. Personally I think both can exist. I don't use LJ so I was never involved in the community happening there. But I have been a Cobra fan for a long time. I have also know who you are from the Midtown days. The LJ community needs to understand that there are other fans out there. I don't really like the idea of the young kids that preach being the biggest fan but can't tell you why. But what about my little brother. He's fifteen and coming into his own and discovering the kind of music he listens to. So he's testing waters and listening to my music, and he loves to borrow my Cobra CD. Now he doesn't use LJ or have any idea what it is to be honest, so what is he supposed to do.

The LJ community and really, all fan across the board need to realize that Cobra getting recognition is a GOOD thing. Hell it's a GREAT thing. Having this happen means more fans and a busier band. In my world, fans shouldn't complain about something as trivial as a fan club and new fans vs. original communities and long time fans.

Calm down people. Really.
