Again, we have crippled internet. Eastlink is operating just above dial-up speeds tonight in Summerside, Newfoundland (and surrounding area). Horrible response from customer service. It's been 6-8 weeks without any permanent resolution.

Live in Summerside, NL. Tired of the complacency from Eastlink. Keeps telling me it's my issue but everyone in my town & neighboring towns with the issue of slow internet performance. Cannot stream video & barely functional web browsing. Horrible service in the last few months.

I think you are a little off base with your comment "great content will close the deal". The travel industry has to embrace social networking and social media, build relationships and capitalize on those relationships to be successufl.

The tourism industry is being taken in many different directions, including those rooted in social media and social networking. Many people in both the tourism / hospitality industry have ingored these items. I think that social networking / social media will have more impact and produce more results.

Tourism is relationship based, and social marketing efforts utilizing the correct tools will pay more dividends.
