Clearly he got his facts from the early days which were filled with misinformation:

1: Zimmerman wasn't white, he was Hispanic.

2: Trayvon was no child. Yes early pictures showed an 8 year old kid. But he was a 6 foot tall, 17 year old football player. Bigger then Zimmerman

3. He was armed with a deadly weapon: concrete and his fists - both can kill a man as sure as his gun.

4. Eye witnesses and forensic evidence put Trayvon on top as the aggressor - this is no longer in dispute. The only injuries on Trayvon's body before the gunshot were on his knuckles (from punching Zimmerman).

5. NBC admitted editing the 911 call to claim Zimmerman said Trayvon looked suspicious because he was black. The original 911 call actually had him saying Trayvon looked suspicious because he looked like he was on drugs. We know from the autopsy he was. He only mentioned he was black after the 911 dispatched asked for a description.

At least the author did not make the common mistake of claiming this has anything to stand your ground - that was never even used in the trial.
This is a tragedy but not the racist murder the media or prosecution portrayed.
