Calling over a waiter, he says, "Waiter, there's a fly in my soup!"

The waiter responds, "Thank you for pointing that out, sir. I shall be sure to add the extra garnishment to your bill."

Re: Weirdsmobile: Podcast #16: Meet El Presidente

dude, she is SOOOOOO stalking you.

Re: Weirdsmobile: A Long Time Coming

after 8 years, it's nice to see you being upbeat and positive about politics. i'm glad things worked out to your liking! i hope the president-elect and the new congress lives up to your expectations and that you continue to be so involved.

Re: Weirdsmobile: Podcast #12: I, Asshole

that's why i like the two of you of you so much in spite of the fact i've never traded more than a handful of sentences through email with you - the fact that you hate cow milk is aweso...no wait...the way the two of you speak of each other and of yourselves with each other.

Re: Weirdsmobile: Podcast #11: Shucks!

bambi, bambo, bamboo, bambam, boo, boozie, boozlde - take your pick, mix and match. just keep my supersecret identity under wraps!

Re: Weirdsmobile: Podcast #11: Shucks!

hannah - sorry! i was trying to be funny by spelling 'Mahmoud Ahmadinejad' to "help" you (thus not pronouncing it and being no help whatsoever). Also, I didn't mean for you to actually think that I thought you couldn't pronounce his name. I am going to go drink now and figure out if I got that last sentence down correctly.

Re: Weirdsmobile: "...and the greatest of these..."

i wrote the following to my rperesentatives when they tried (and succeeded) in adding a constitutional ban on gay marriage in my state:

I am extremely embarrassed and disheartened to learn how you voted on the
Civil Unions and Marriage constitutional amendment. To deny a person's
freedom based on your religion and prejudice is the antithesis of what this
country stands for. To deny a person's freedom in the name of morality and
ethics when that freedom harms no one is the antithesis of what this country
stands for. To deny a person's freedom just because that civil liberty
makes you uncomfortable is the antithesis of what this country stands for.

To think that you represent me in the state legislature through this bigotry
is appalling. It is my earnest hope that you remember the principles upon
which America was built.

Thank you,
bamboozlde

Re: Weirdsmobile: Podcast #9: The Shrilla from Wasilla

hannah - you pronounce his name "Mahmoud Ahmadinejad"

Re: Weirdsmobile: Paul Newman Was Never Called an Asshole

wonderfully well written (and absolutely true) eulogy.

Re: Weirdsmobile: Help Me I Am In Hell

man, the thing to remember is that while nearly half the country disagrees with you, nearly half the country agrees with you! seriously - you've got about half the country agreeing with you. that's huge!

i, on the other hand, have about .0000003% of the country agreeing with me. and i'm not even able to drink to deal with it!

Re: Weirdsmobile: How's That Free Market Capitalism Working For Ya?

http://www.cnn.com/2008/POL...
"
And conservatives, in particular, object to the large departure from free-market principles.

"They are saying this is failure of the free markets of capitalism when, in fact, this is a failure because government injected itself into the free market, created this easy credit, these guaranteed loans, and these loans are what have turned into the bad paper that are bringing all these financial institutions down," Sen.
