Sad for the owners, but I always stay away from stores (and homes) with those damn Tibetan prayer flags. I was able to get a neighbor of mine to take hers down after explaining to her the fad is over.

I'm guessing it could have also been support for the veep which usually have several c130's with support staff and numerous vehicles for transport. But it wouldn't explain it landing since he was likely leaving.

I have a feeling the car was purchased just for the hit. Hopefully someone who sold a this model will step forward. If the killer went so far as to plan as it sounds, he likely purchased it outside the area. I'm sure DMV's across the country are researching recent sales info.

You wouldn't be able to see the sunset if the viaduct was replaced. The current federal guidelines require the gardrails be so high, only the highest of the high suv drivers would have seen anything other than a massive wall on both the upper and lower levels.

Umm you do realize that it was voted on right? -The urban village and improvement zone containing the library and park etc. You voted on it. I get a kick out of how people are so quick to bash the condos when that's what created the first iteration of Ballard. This conversation isn't new. In Munich they've created a mini-caste system where old Munichs consider themselves better than new Munich residents.
Now that you live here, are you really in such a hurry to kick others out? Change is inevitable, I'm sorry you seem to just now come to this realization.

LOL. Are you really so dense as to not understand how a tax base works? It's either density or suburban sprawl with strip malls. You can't have it both ways. Please go to and play your "birther/tea party" screaming match. It looks quite funny when you get in there screaming for sprawl...only to have you return to complain about 1 story strip malls with parking in front a couple years later.

Lookup economies of scale, and agglomeration and cross reference with how this aids businesses and professionals in terms of value of time.

I could tell you much more, but I'm pretty sure its like trying to reason with a drunk...no answer will satisfy the reactionary responses you are screaming.

Public suicides are difficult to understand for me. They are doing it in public because they want to draw attention to their plight, but obviously its too late once they jump. So I guess this type of suicide is a giant middle finger to everyone.

This place is rarely has any food available when I swing by. I finally was able to make it earlier in the day and they were...closed. Just go to the Ballard location as it appears its the only location with decent management skills.

Could. Could it be? Are we actually, finally, moving forward with the tunnel? Surely someone is trying to stop this..this progress. Please tell me someone is trying to stop this action for no good reason while simultaneously making the citizenry skateboard everywhere (or some other useless body-odor inducing means of transportation). The Seattle I know wouldn't let something like this be done without another study or vote of sometype. Can somebody please set us back 8 years. It needs to happen quick -something *gasp* is about to be done! OH THE HUMANITY!

SHARE is simply a parasite that has absorbed the values of its users. Losing no funding during this time of duress, SHARE's hostile tactics last week revealed the terroristic intent of the organization -to take from society whatever and whenever they can. And when they don't get a raise, they intimidate like a bully.

They are unwilling to work for anything less than $10/hr. Not a crime, but considering they are HOMELESS, one should wonder what they are doing with their spare time that is worth more than $10/hr. I question the character of these sponges after learning SHARE kicks out anyone who does not partake in their "Direct Actions".
