It's hypocritical. We want them to make a 3-4 year commitment to us, but we aren't willing to honor their commitment by not running them off or replacing them? I dunno, it just doesn't seem right to me.

Re: Around the Hall: Big Ten expansion, ACC-Big Ten Challenge, more

That's true. And a lot of those passes weren't necessary or were the result of poor defense and a subpar opponent. I'd like to see video from his season against a good team.

Re: Indiana adds Guy-Marc Michel to 2010 recruiting class

I'm going to remain optimistic with this one. Maybe his game will translate fine to Big 10 play. He could be a diamond in the rough. It wouldn't be the first time someone's come from relative obscurity to perform well on a big stage. I know people are upset about this right now and don't believe in the guy, but we have to stay upbeat and trust that we're righting the ship.

Re: Switch to Indiana Elite paying off for Yogi Ferrell

I gotta tell you, I used to look at the news of us recruiting this kid and just roll my eyes or shake my head. I didn't want us to land him and I can't even remember why. It might have had something to do with him being 5'9. However, after actually seeing him play I've done a complete 180 and now I really would like for us to get him. Yogi's so quick with the ball and elevates so well on his jumper that it won't even matter that he's 5'9. He's got great court vision and busts his butt on every play. Yogi Ferrell would be a welcomed addition for this Hoosier.

Re: IU announces 2008-2009 men’s basketball schedule

Just glancing through the schedule I noticed a lot of games that we are very capable of winning. Optimistically, I think at least 17 of these games are winnable. Call me crazy or out of touch with reality, but I think it's a possibility. I also counted the two Illinois games for spite.

Re: Q & A: Maurice Creek

I wondered that, too. Absolutely. A dunk over Greg Paulus to take the lead, which resulted in the perforation of my ear drums? You got it. So much hope for the rest of a season that when we all finally came back down to Earth we realized that the team was basically average-to-slightly-above it was as heartbreaking as any time we had ever endured in our lives? You'd better believe it.

Re: Your participation in this exercise would be greatly appreciated

I think it's perfect. You could put together crazy lists of all the stuff that Hoosier fans love. Detailed reporting on it all, and before you know ITH becomes THE resource website for anyone who doesn't know or wants to know more about Indiana University basketball. Think of the possibilities. You could turn this website from an outstanding blog to the hottest spot for all things Hoosier basketball.

Re: Your participation in this exercise would be greatly appreciated

We should put a list together of the most loved players in IU history. You know, the guys that weren't All-Americans but got the biggest ovations every year at Hoosier Hysteria and stuff. A lot of names come to mind here because there's so many legends like that who now make up what is Indiana basketball lore.

Re: Your participation in this exercise would be greatly appreciated

And what's the deal with Mike Woodson? If you need a reminder of how an assistant can be black-balled by head coaches for going against his head coach, look at Bruce Pearl while he was an assistant at Illinois. He turned his coach in and had to coach at USI for like 8 years.

Re: Should IU block Jordan Crawford from transferring to Kentucky?

We aren't far better off without him at all, really. Jordan Crawford is a 4-year college player, he wasn't Eric Gordon. You can't expect him to be perfect in his first year. I hope Indiana let's him go wherever he wants. He came to our school to play for a good school, a seemingly good coach at the time, to get his education I guess, and to have a good college basketball experience. He got robbed on two of those. I don't think him being on Kentucky will matter anyways because they have a lot of talent coming in and he may never seen the floor while he's there.

Re: Jordan Crawford not returning to IU

Does anyone know how Devan Dumes is at a point guard?
