I agree with IU beats UNC we should give Dakich the job and post IU's Banner in assembly hall.....OH wait...that is just a 2nd round victory...do we celebrate those or is that for Purdue to do????

I love Mike and Mike, but they get emotionally caught up sometimes and this is another case of that.....I cannot see a scenario that Dakich gets the job and the only way he should be CONSIDERED is a FINAL 4 APPEARANCE.....key word CONSIDERED.

Had to get my jab in......

Not sure if anyone metioned it.....so after selection sunday I am tuned in to see the analysis of the field by all of the greats.....Duke Bilas, Dukey V, Pats dad, etc etc.... but nooooooo not til Sunday night did I see the best TV analysts there is....A.J.Ratliff on channel 13 in Indy.......That is the guy I want analyzing the field of 64.

* Thanks to the coaching staff for ruining EJ's game. McCallum said in the post game show he wore down as the season went on. You get pounded like he does and get no easy shot, this is what you get. Beasly, Mayo, and Rose did not get wore down and they carried more team responsibility. Good job coaches way to ruin a lotter pick.

Here is how low this program has sunk in my eyes. I had a choice of working tonite online or taking some time off to watch the game......I elected to work online tonite and saw about 5 minutes of the game.

What ever happened to my Dad's IU program, I want that one back again.

From what little I saw of the game and the highlights....why was Arkansas so much faster than IU? Just our luck Purdue beats Xavier and goes to the sweet 16....DURING a rebuilding year I might add

I like his answer and honesty but he was in an ideal position and had an upper hand on getting this job and this team didn't perform. I don't want the excuse of the guys didn't know him....That is his fault to an extent, because he has been there ALL year, so it is isn't like he hasn't been around. I have been a head coach before and I made my assistants get to know my players as much as I did.

Keep Dak on maybe as AD or an assistant would be great, but this team was not preprared to compete......play us....but not compete and THAT is what Indiana basketball is about.

Now....The only reason to root for Purdue is to get Xavier beat so Sean Miller can get here by mid week next week.

It is to the point I cannot even fathom Greeny announcing anyone other than, Miller, Grant, Bennett, or Keno Davis....beyond that I may be dissapointed......I do like the low buyout for Bennet....

I know he wouldn't leave but Izzo should get at least a phone call, email, or text message from the Blue Ribbon committee....

Ray McCallum should be the guy to stay on as an assistant, he can recruit his ass off and definitely recruit in his own house.......I would keep Dak on also and actually put him on the Blue Ribbon committee

I have not been an advocate of pearl but I would not be upset.....Pat Summitt is the big dogette at UT, followed by UT football, then...oh the mens team. Bruce Pearl comes to IU....Devin Ebanks comes to IU, EJ stays at IU and gets to play in a more open system, and EVERYONE else stays.....deandre start running bro...there is no walking it up the court with Brucey.....

OK rumor #1 I like it.....Blue Ribbon Committee gets the first point of the day....Now dont' have Bruce Pearl rumor then have a Dan Dakich refuses to leave rumor and threatens to take EJ and Jamarcus with him....

PS...I am ok with headbands, tats, and WINS!

The longer IU waits, the less likely it is Keno Davis, Anthony Grant, Scott Drew, Brad Brownell......and the longer it smells like Sean Miller, Bruce Pearl.....and Izzo maybe? I like it.....

Chicity....ITH has saved me some cash from joinging peegs or nation, good websites, but I get the same info here and some helluva bloggers who run this thing too. Good guys who post on here also......the amazing thing about Indiana basketball is, it is year around, once a coach is hired we will be on here thrilled and singing his praises or bitchin' about greeny and the blue ribbon panel.....

Then we will look at the recruiting class, summer teams, etc. It just keeps rollin'

Before we get to Tony Bennet I think Sean Miller needs some man love from ITH first..that guy works his ass off on the sidelines and really really outcoached IU in that chicago tourney.......and get this.....they actually run an offense where more than 3 guys move at ONCE. Impressive eh'............

Crean is down on the list and that is only if we get no's from all the other guys. I also read a recent story on how skiles would get an interview.........that should not happen.

The interesting thing here.....do we want Matta over Bennett.....what is Thad without Oden and Conley??? Do we want Matta over Miller???? One Sean Miller had Thad, Oden, and Conley on the ropes last year in the tourney.......

I think Matta would be awesome, the more I hear about Bennett and Miller I could lean that way first..........I just like Millers X's and O's...........here is some coaching....Miller has a big man who loves to play outside and shot the long ball some...a la Ben Allen...instead of just forcing him inside like a horrible coach would, why not expand his game and use his strengths like a good coach......Sean Miller.

Could we have used 6'11 Ben Allen this year....Hell Yeah.
