I hear you guys. I am just trying to tell you that his political moves are playing well in the State of Tennessee. Well enough to win office is another story. By and large, Black folks love him in Tennessee. Those the facts folks!

You guys are missing the boat on HFJ. I lived in his state of Tennessee for about six years. Trust this plays right into his type of voters who he has to appeal too IF he runs for Governor next year. He is a good guy just has a conservertive state in which he operates.

Thank you for posting the full text. From the MSM coverage of the speech, I would have thought the O-man was lecturing 'us' again. If we could just read the words of this outstanding candidate and not be swayed by the MSM coverage or the human need to find fault in a few things a candidate says. If the O-man WINS, my sons WIN! If the O-man wins, black folks win! If the O-man wins, AMERICA wins!

C'mon folks! How can we have a civil discussion about the topic w/o getting into a street fight? Listen, I live apart from my children yet play a active role in their lives. Nor did I take offensive at what he said. At NO point in the text of his speech does he refer to JUST AA men. The setting of the speech was in a AA church and the MSM took it from there and headlines screamed that he was addressing us poor black folks.

One of the lesson I am learning from this wonderful experience it how much MORE we have to develop leadership in our community. I like Jackson but in this instance - he need to go sit down.

To NO ID, please! Give us a break. Obama is NOT YET the president. And any candidate, black or white, has to broaden their appeal in order to win a national election. We may not like when it happen but we VOTE accordingly at the polls. Voting for the O-man is not a black litmus test. Give me a break. I am voting for hin because gas prices are high, the war goes on, the economy is in the tank and my kid's future is in doubt. As Oprah once said, "don't play me cheap!"

Amen my brother. Keep preaching this message. Too often, my white liberal secular friends forgot about us poor black folks sitting in God's corner AFTER the election. They seem to confuse our socially liberal and inculsive views with EVERYTHING they believe.

I am not sure IF he was or not. He may have been. Remember we are talking about the Repubs from about 40-50 years ago when they were more in tune with the Civil Rights movement than southern democrats were. Nevertheless what have they done for us lately?
