I guess my point is not what Democrats did, but rather the reaction of everyone instead of talking about the benefits I hear Dems saying "WE WON" and Republicans whining.

I've asked a couple vocal people on both sides of the fence about why they were so happy or pissed and they could only state that it was because the bill passed. When I asked them what they didnt like about the bill they could not offer any information or specifics. They are hating or supporting something they don't even understand and that is what bothers me the most

As a Chicagoan and a Cubs fan I can tell you that while the Cubs-Sox teams do represent geographic division, the geography also represents socio-economic divisions which align with the teams' fans. The stereotype is that Cubs fans are white collar and Sox fans are blue collar (super simplification but largely true).

A book could be written (if one hasn't already) about the dynamics of fan interaction in Chicago baseball. I the level of intensity is pretty high when the two teams face off (pelted with beers, and other objects by opposing fans after cheering a run scored, etc, recent violent clashes between fans) and the verbal abuse and downright racist, homophobic, and demeaning t-shirts that some fans of both teams wear.

I could go on and on, but there certainly is a "character" built into Sox and Cubs fans. If there was a world series between the two teams, the city would tear itself apart.

For me, airports always equate to having a drink. I try to justify it by saying I need a drink to calm my nerves, but I am not scared of flying. I dont know any other possible explinations . . .
