It's amazing how many people have these prejudices against adoption as if their bloodline was superior in some way. I do get the whole biological passing on of THEIR genes but no one's bloodline is very pure. There were centuries of affairs and secret adoptions so before DNA verification there was no way to actually tell. I love the whole need to know for "medical history" because you can pick one of these: cancer, heart disease, diabetes, kidney disease---every bloodline has at least one or more weakness also most people really don't know much of their medical histories anyway other than perhaps to their own parents or grandparents and just because there is no history of cancer doesn't mean it won't show up anyway. It has a lot to do with wanting to have someone who looks like you but even your own biological child doesn't guarantee anything. Also, do you ever notice that no one seems to be related to all the villains/murderers/criminals from the past whenever people do their ancestry? Ignore that little old biddy of a "grandma" and share your life with a child (adopted or not) if that is your desire. People like her die bitter and alone.

Jo, I thought of one more thing that might bring a smile to your face. A good gardener knows that in order to get the best fruit sometimes you graft one tree onto another ----consider it "adoption" for family trees. A good gardener also knows that in order to keep the tree healthy sometimes you got to prune a few branches. Happy gardening!

So happy that you did this summary and included great pictures including the Gusty one. There is no way she could have used a regular airline belt without asking for an extension lapbelt to make it fit and that would have been apparent to the flight attendants. Also you do have to wonder about bypassing NICU hospitals. When my water broke, I went to my planned hospital and doctor. I was not particularly high risk despite having twins but since they were 5 1/2 weeks early, the doctors immediately transported me to the larger hospital across town because it had a NICU as policy for anyone 34 weeks or less. My labor had stabilized enough for them to send me. I thought that they were joking when they said it but hospitals take birth very seriously and want to make sure that everything is done to protect the life of the infant and mother. Knowing that Trig would more than likely have DS and had a 50% of having a heart defect upon birth, bypassing the Hospital in Anchorage and taking that drive during BAD weather (remember there was a snow storm according to weather reports in the area) to a small hospital with a doctor who does not typically deliver babies is some of the worst part of the story. (might I also add that there was a NICU team for each baby during the delivery just to be safe--fortunately the kids were as healthy as full term)

Thanks for the reassurance. I get frustrated too. I began following Audrey last Sept/Oct. I don't believe Trig is her biological child, never did. It just never made sense. The thing with"conspiracies" is that there is always a mountain of proof on the other side to counter the claim. The only proof on the other side of this is that Sarah said so and a few questionable pictures (Gusty) that don't seem to jive with every other picture of her at the time. Lack of someone not coming forward to blow the whistle on her is not proof because others have not really come out to say "I was the nurse at the delivery," or even simple documents of her having made prenatal visits, etc. Look how long it took for the guy to go after Madoff and now everyone is saying that it was so obvious.

pretty and pale here too despite having peers that slathered on baby oil to go to the beach! I'm the youngest looking one of the bunch! Truth is I also found it really boring to just lay around. I'm all for relaxing but that doesn't imply being inert.

Slightly O/T she actually should have used the word "incognita" Ending adjectives in "a" for feminine rather than "o" for male in Italian. I'm not sure what the plural is in regards to the whole family, perhaps "o" As long as it's going to be her new favorite word she might want to show off a little and sort of appear smart. (Yeah, right)

Poor older children, I guess you make Sarah look too old to go on vacay with her or maybe you're finally getting fed up with her and won't play along. I'm sure that Bristol could have used a vacation from raising a baby, working and (ahem) going to college. Who is actually helping this girl. Levi's family aren't allowed to and all of Sarah's crew were on the bus tour.

However, "ista" things are not related to Italian. Believe it or not it has it's origins in a clash between puppeteers from the world famous (second only to the muppets in fame as far as a puppetry troupe goes) "Bread and Puppet theater" and of all things, the GOP! In 2000, the GOP held it's convention in Philly. Essentially B & P is very political and involved with a lot of protests especially anti-war. They started jokingly calling themselves "puppetistas" after the Zapatista liberation army that had been in the news. This set off major red flags at the GOP and they actually "swat-style" arrested the people AND The PUPPETS! After that everyone started using "ista" here and there until it's so ubiquitous that no one remembers it's origins. (My favorite AP line was "when puppets are outlawed, only outlaws will have puppets"

oddly enough, I know someone named "tradd" He was after a street in Virginia where his parents lived when he was conceived. I guess it could have been worse if they had lived on a different street----"Turnpike" has a nice ring to it, maybe Sarah could use it for her next one.

I usually don't put a lot of stock in "spitting-image" for determining family relationship but it does seem odd when you factor in Sarah's "crush," living situation (which happens at times), wite-out abortion, family friend who has a working wife having an issue with Sarah being a working mom (Was Carol Menard working? It would be odd for someone to spend all that time to become a Dentist and not work at least part time.) , etc. That seems to be the thing with Sarah, not always a clear smoking gun but a whole lot of spent bullet casings where ever she happens to be.

Here's another odd thing. Remember when Track was sent away? He was sent to Michigan. Isn't that where the Menards are from? Do the Palins have the family connections there too or just the Menards? Here's a link that names the family that housed Track.....any relation to the Menards?

It seems so strange that Lorenzo Benet included this in Trailblazer. It says that the other girl (welch) was taller, prettier, and a better basketball player. I thought Lorenzo LOVED Palin. Why include the stuff from Welch that puts Palin in a bad light? Unless he was thinking it would make her more of an underdog.

Even stranger because Sarah and Todd were married already so it's not like the child would be born out of wedlock. Most newlyweds shout the news of the first baby especially those supposedly conceived on their honeymoon and not before as even Sarah's mom implies. (Remember Sally said that they eloped to spare the expense of a big wedding--didn't have anything to do with already being pregnant,or course)---don't forget that Sarah had "planned" to have babies right on schedule.

Again, why is nothing around this woman without bizarre details and contradictions. I have unusual things happen all the time (mostly good stuff) but it makes logical sense. There is a clear pattern of how the situations unfolded and resulted. She leads this "well-organized" one-of-the-people- hockey mom normal life and yet no story every makes sense.

Cheekbones appeared when she aged and the fat pads in her cheeks disappeared. (this is normal healthy body fat and has nothing to do with actual body weight) It happens to all people who have rounder, younger looking faces in their 20's. Remember how round her face is in "flat busted" photo from college? Somewhere between 30-40 you get the best cheekbones and look great. Same thing happened to me. Sandra Bullock is the same--younger sweeter girl-next door in 20's and then getting more glamorous as her face naturally became more sculpted with age. People who had great cheekbones in their 20's have a tendency to look a little gaunt as they age since there was not as much fat to loose in that area.

Happy New Year everyone. I agree with others that part of my resolution has to be a little less time reading all the comments. I was not able to get onto Palingates most of the time for the past week and a half of traveling due to ridiculously high filters on my mom's server (She once blocked Google by accident), and missed a lot of great stuff. However, I'm sure that Sister Sarah will continue to provide much entertainment and the readers here will be right on target with timely, intelligent, and humorous comments.

As much as I am a flaming liberal, I feel the need to point out that hypocrisy is not exclusive to the GOP. There are plenty of Dems that use their money and power to manipulate situations in their favor. What is it really about is the gap between rich and poor. Bottom line is that if you are rich you have more access to allies and resources. The poor can get some access through charities or miracle donors but in general, it is less likely for them.

This is why good education for everyone is key. Often it is only the random chance of birth that causes the disparity. Even if one can't afford the resources, knowing/learning how to get to them is vital. It is the access to allies and resources that makes all the difference and can mitigate the issue. Cindy and Rush have access so they are given passes. Also then they "owe" people that helped them. They can offer much in reward and payback. Sherry does not.

Folks that she sold to were not arrested in the same way that "Johns" don't get jailed, only the hookers. Or that drug dealers go down instead of the suburban kids who drive their daddy's car into the city to score the drugs. If no one bought, no one would sell.
