Try One of These Cheap Cell Phone Plans Instead

After 17 years with ATT I just kicked over to Cricket. I switched on the day that my new month began, and ATT pointed me out to the fine print where I still need to pay for this full month even though the number has been quickly ported out and I won't be using them for anything this month. Funny how they tried to talk me into staying and paying MORE money for what is less service than I get with the new Cricket plan. I'd told them I would've gone back should things not work out - but won't consider it now. I remember finding out that for a year (several years ago) they could have contacted me about a better plan that was half of what I was paying on something and they never did. Had to find that out on my own and did immediately cut my bill in half when I did - but feel like they jipped me for a good year. The cricket location I found today had just opened 4 days ago, and the manager was highly attentive and nice so I can't say that the customer service was lacking in any way at this time. 45 bucks a month for unlimited calls, text, data - and that data doesn't throttle (down to 3g) until after 8gb. ATT I was with a roll over plan for the same price with only 333mb. I've been cautious to watch my data usage for emergency only but now I'm going to let er' rip! We'll see how it goes. As always, there is a back-up plan. And if I find I'm still not using much data I'll jump down to the 30 a month plan with all that unlimited too. Woot!

Re: Almost there | Karma

I am elated and beyond.

Let me begin by saying I ordered this last year, and the patience paid off.

Since 2007 I was using and paying monthly for a high speed broadband card for the majority (almost all) of my internet usage. We move around a lot, and signing up to a new cable internet plan for each move was just not in the picture. I was hesitant to drop that old monthly bill for that broadband card- which was grandfathered in at $60 a month for unlimited usage.

The resources here on the Karma site were useful in helping me determine that I could save a lot more by paying for just the amount I was actually using. That old card was also stuck in a 3g mode, so even if a 4g was available I was never going to see it.

Since getting the Karma, I was immediately able to use it at a friends house where my old 3g card did not get a signal. At my home, I get a faster signal than using my neighbors Comcast high speed internet (what a joke, right?). I have yet to complete one final test - which is riding around in the car and surfing on the web while on a major highway. I'm stuck 30 miles or so out to sea at the moment so it will be some time before that test can happen. ;) But hey, Karma is working 30 miles out in the ocean.

Anyway, I decided to take the plunge last week and closed my old account for that broadband card. Not an easy thing to do when you are really used to something and it was something I relied on for so long. I'm getting over it pretty quickly as I realize it is one less bill to deal with monthly.

If I get just 4 months of usage out of the unit itself, it will have paid for itself just based on what I was paying before.

I am LOVING the fact that if there is a power outage, I have internet signal for not just myself but for my neighbors too. I love that I have no contract. I love that I have no monthly bill. I love that I took advantage of some of those double data deals (will be keeping my eye out for those).

Thank you thank you THANK YOU for bringing this product to the market.

Share the love! https://yourkarma.com/invit...

Re: Karma Go shipment update

How are you planning to ship this? I don't get usps delivery to my home (only PO box). Will this go via UPS or regular mail? Thanks!

Re: Testimonials. The easiest way to add testimonials to your Headway site!

HI! Gosh, this would work beautifully as a guest book. Is there a way to
integrate this with comments, have it auto suck in the avatar and
comment, allow blog author to approve, and it will add the latest guest
comment into the top (or bottom - what ever your fancy)? Eager to know! Tks, and willing to let you test on me. I
actually have just placed an order with them, but feel like I've dodged a
big bullet as I hadn't ordered anything in quite some time from them. I
don't think they intentionally meant to hurt you or realized anything
was wrong with what they were initially using.

"It is impossible to guarantee the copyright/source of images when stock
photo and free image directories allow third party members to upload
images. (Just read over their small print) "

"We have changed company policy months back and only source images using
purchased rights where images can be tracked and stay clear of free
image depositories and/or creative commons image sources. We strongly
encourage other designers to do the same."

Perhaps it was your incident helped them to change this policy.

Re: Favicons!

Found it, uploaded, but it shows a white box with a line through it still. I have a question, and maybe you have an answer or not. I have a couple of vintage movie screens. They are the type that come in a long wooden box. You open the box, and pull them up, and they automatically support themselves. I want to make one of them into a green screen. They have the movie screen reflective material on them. I have 2 choices. I can paint the front which is white or paint the back which is black. The white side has the crystals on it of course. It may be possible to paint green and re crystalize the front as well to really claim all the light hitting it. Am I nuts to be painting the reflective side? If it were you, would you rub off the surface? And should I be looking for a spray paint perhaps or will the brush-on blend well enough? Thanks for any thoughts you may have on this.
