Glad there's a smaller battery for those who need it. 208 miles x 0.67 to factor Midwest winter and X 0.80 for highway speed means 111 mile range. So only 90 minutes of driving to leave a small buffer. Not quite the family car. BUT options all around keep getting incrementally better. Let's go!

I get the fairness argument, but based on the lead time of new vehicles, Tesla doesn't need any help selling their product. I'd be surprised if any money sent towards them or their consumers would accelerate the EV transition much at all.

I suspect for the American truck market, looks will matter more than specs (in aggregate). If so, Ford wins handily.

It's unfortunate that regulators don't demand that front by trimmed/tapered for increased visibility & pedestrian safety. Whatever the drivetrain, that's still a massive problem when the bulk of the market is for grocery getters.

The global chip shortage can't help. Talked with a Chicago Ford assembly worker last week. They are furloughed until at least July, and they don't expect to be running back at 100% until Jan 2022!

Nah, 250 kW is plenty thanks, I just want the highway blanketed with chargers. Tesla still has a major leg up on that in N. America, and is still expanding.
