The US citizens got sick of pouring money outside of the United States with no bottom to the sack. The people wanted a new direction for the US and Mr. Trump was the only one that understood it, so this is how he became and won the Republican nomination, in my opinion he is not a Republican nor he is a Democrat but he choose to run as a Republican because he knew that he will win the Presidency.
Understandingly he wants to rebuild the United States to it's glory, according to as he and his administration see it fit. I do not think that he is worried what other Presidents from other countries will see him, he is worried how the US citizens will judge him, so he works in that aspect. If you listen to his speech of his inaugural ceremony he is all about the US and it people, you can call this protectionism or prejudices or whatever you want, but he is right for his actions towards the citizens of this country. If this country becomes wealthy again that would mean more investments overseas as well, but as a proverb says: “The sick must be rehabilitated first to health so it could produce again”, perhaps this first four years will show president Trumps ability and root out the sick and rehabilitate the US to it's once more powerful capabilities for a new technologically advanced world.

Re: Obama the visionary | Comment | ekathimerini.com

Obama is a product of the very liberal politician Ted Kennedy. Democratic Senator from Massachusetts Ted Kennedy was a mentor of now president Obama. Senator Kennedy has given a checklist to Obama, this checklist included the Obamacare and many other numerous thing which Senator Kennedy wanted to implement but his chances were minimal as a senator, so he made sure that Obama will become the US president before his death. As you may all know Senator Kennedy was the chairman of the Senate Committee on Health, Education, Labor, and Pensions.
If you look back on president Obama policy's most of his numerous achievements are in the same areas where senator Kennedy was a chair.
As an outsider meaning outside of the US people really cared and still do for President Obama as he is a great orator and a globalization advocate, but many who do not like the implementation of the globalization such as President Putin and President Xi Jinping just two examples of superpowers, Europe was the play ground for President Obama, but if you lived in the US the past eight years you would feel very much differently, for those who follow the US know that most of the things that President Obama implemented are crumbling down on their own weight, the democratic party is in a dilemma of what to do next and how to go ahead. The American citizens voted for a change for a better internal economy which President Elect Trump has promissed.

Re: The two sides of Greece | Comment | ekathimerini.com

I will not go into history or where we (Greeks) come from all were do we want to be, but I know this: Times of Stress is also times that signals of Growth.
