I've met Matt, and he is the nicest person in the world you could have an intelligent conversation with. Chris is obviously all about the money, which is fine, but I think he can comply with the GPL license he develops on and make the same profitable business.

Chris is making money of the Wordpress platform, if he hates the open source licensing of it so much, then just develop, and market on another platform.

My vote.. Wordpress a game changer.. Matt a high calibre individual.. Chris I'm not so sure about. He likes to try to bamboozle people with his 'views' using decent use of manipulative language, but I'm not sold on the guy.

Re: Find Something Beautiful About Yourself

Thanks for the honest and insightful comment.. men listen up to what Dawn is saying here! ..and perhaps I've read your website too.. fascination encounter you had there! It was amazing meeting you in Phoenix, and seeing you speak last year. To anyone who's never actually met you, "Gary is the real deal.. he truly cares, and is one of the hardest working, and most sincere people I've met.. he wants everyone to succeed!"

At some point, for me around 34, you realize you can't do everything.. so it's good to hear that you are pulling back to your core priorities. I'm sure we'll continue to see great things.

I'm focusing back on engineering consulting, and it's going fantastic.. good for my brain, good for me, and the right change at the right time.

Cheers.. I always though it was very cool that you replied to my email last year, and remembered me at your book signing.. nothing beats the personal interaction.

Re: Why I disagree with @Arrington about Droid

Thumbs up for iPhone.. not found a phone I like better for my needs. Ok you are right about many of the guys who study how to 'pickup' women. They are taught behavioral conditioning akin to dog training, which is even worse actually than your horse training metaphor. Yes, there are shitty people out there. However, the world is riddled with a whole range of people with varied personality disorders, both clinical, and subclinical.. most of whom have no knowledge of 'pickup artistry.'

Most of the guys I've taught at seminars just want to feel better about themselves. They want to fit in, and belong. They also have a genuine interest in better understanding women. Simply put they want to learn how to flirt, and be more confident such that they can both recognize and move things along when a girl indicates she likes them. Most want to be in a good relationship. It is only a small percentage who wish to learn how to manipulate, and conquest. That is unfortunate, and yes this percentage has increase somewhat since the whole pickup artist subculture went mainstream.

Unfortunately, in my experience "nice guys" finish LAST most of the time. Many men who are learning how to flirt, come off creepy or seem like they have an agenda at first. They are trying the best they can to learn how to be themselves. A more confident charismatic, and less inhibited version of themselves non-the-less. Give them a break.

Women do need to develop a good intuition with men in general. They need to be able to screen for the good qualities in a man, and to be able to recognize when they are being played. Men too need to develop an intuition for screening for emotionally healthy women. This comes from emotional maturity, and experience.

In most settings "nice guys" ARE invisible. It is the confident outgoing men that get far more attention from women. Be honest here.. have you ever met a guy who had all the qualities you value, but you had absolutely zero sexual attraction for, because he was too nice.. too unsexual.. lacked confidence.. perhaps he was even too uncomfortable to touch you.. but he was a really good person?

There is a difference between a Good Guy, and a "nice guy." Emotionally healthy women do want the Good Guys, but guess what he's a real catch. So yes, people with issues find people with other issues. Every guy wants 10's, and every woman wants a catch. Well I can't help women with their beauty needs, but I can help nice guys turn into good guys.

Cheers.. It's very important (as with business and other areas of life) to reflect on all the accomplishments, small and large alike, that you've made over time.

Keeping a journal can definitely help with this. When running my engineering business it seemed like I was always fighting fires, and battling to just keep everything on track. I made daily action item lists in my business journal, and every couple of months I would look back through the pages to review. I was often amazed at how much I had accomplished.

Keep it up!

Re: Interesting Video On Being Beautiful

yep.. thanks for sharing Andres.. that's exactly my experience also from the girls I've dated. Most guys can't connect with such women because they are coming from such a self centered place, only focused on their own desire. So when a guy can just treat her (genuinely) like any other person, and on top of that be able to understand her world. Magic. One thing that really made me feel uncomfortable when teaching bootcamps with most other trainers, was the lever of dishonesty and lack of real substance when it came to connecting with women. I'm going to hold off on recommending anything by anyone else until I've thought about it more. My intention here with this website is to explore these types of topics in far greater depth... comments such as yours remind me of how important it is. Cheers.. I've also found that certain NLP anchoring exercises are excellent. Really this is very similar using your intent to have a focused meditation. I agree with you, there's a lot of shit happening in the world, and this seems minor in comparison. However, this blog is not a political or economical one. It's purely to provide insight into the dating minds of men and women. So for many guys who haven't yet considered looking through the eyes of the very women that they desire, then this video provides them with a valuable glimpse.

Re: Seduction eBook Recommendations

Hey Sunslayer.. good to see you posting here.. and also to finally chat with you today! Yes.. generally I see the best results from my students from warm up sets above everything else! Good point on the 3 second rule (btw I hate rules) it's about taking action and saying something. The idea originally is that if you hover near a girl longer than 3 seconds without saying something she knows you have an agenda and it can make it more difficult.

If a girl does catch me staring.. and I will admit this HAS happened.. then I can recover by saying something like, "Hey it's weird but I could have sworn you were my friend Jessica, but she lives in San Francisco.." then roll into something else. Usually I do what I call the Columbo (named after the detective in that old tv show) where I roll off, and then re-engage the conversation. Just watch a few episodes and you'll know what I mean. It's his classic way of confronting the villain. I found myself doing that years ago, and afterwards I noticed that Mystery was teaching bodyrocking in and out of set.. veeeerrryy similar. Just my way of doing it. It's like a non-verbal false time constraint.

Re: Real password security and back up too

Gleb is right, using Amazon S3 is far too expensive for many people if you require large storage needs. I have looked into Mozy, Carbonite, and Backblaze, but my issue is that external drives are not backed up sufficiently for my needs.

I edit video, and have about 1TB of data to backup remotely, but I travel a lot, and might be without a particular external drive for over 30 days. In which case most cheaper services delete the backup.

Quote from backblaze, "..as long as you remember to re-attach the hard drive at least once every 30 days. If the drive is detached for more than 30 days, Backblaze interprets this as data that has been permanently deleted and securely deletes the copy from the Backblaze datacenter." https://www.backblaze.com/e...

Also there is a 4GB file limit, what about my ISO disk images, or iDVD files?

Granted I may be looking for a more expensive and professional option, but my small business is on a tight tight budged, and is centered around video. I am sure I am not alone in this age of social media.

Re: Gary Vaynerchuk - The Personal Brand Gold Rush is going on, where...

Personal brand question.. If I already have a following that I'm developing, but the brand name doesn't describe it.. ASKJDOG (for example providing dating and lifestyle advice for men) prior to ramping things up with mass video distribution, would it be better to rebrand to a name that instantly tells people what your videos are about.. THEDATEDOC.TV (just an example.)

Granted if you have an established brand, the name can be non-descriptive, but for brand building doesn't it help. I know this has been discussed in the tech community (techcrunch, and mashable articles,) but I'm thinking for people’s personal branded services it makes sense. Is there any point for a small time guy to go through the hassle of re-branding? Or is it a waste of time, because once your social media is out there more your non-descriptive brand will be associated automatically? What do you think? Thnx.

Re: Wanted!
