ALSO CONFUSING(!) is why young girls are compelled to take pictures of themselves with their knees turned inward. lately i think about this often. the open-mouthed thing i can understand in some kind of abstracted sexual way, but i have no clue what being knock-kneed signals.

obviously this gets close to the platonic ideal of a blog comment.

i had read that covermesongs post, too, and rolled my eyes. i thought, "dude, you have really underestimated my enjoyment at repeating songs." it's one thing to make weird assumptions as a joke--like joking assholeishness, mine--but another to make them naively, mistaking your view for something larger.

ANYWAY, YES, isn't this song great!? i've been through some phases where i didn't listen to many female singers but have snapped way back into the reverse lately. i wish there were still more i was into. we need to strike out and discover more.

yeah, agreed. regis feels like one of the final "public" links to old new york, 40s and 50s new york, the way it was depicted in media before the 70s, maybe? but he's not only a nostalgic/historical pleasure, he's still goofy and surprisingly quick witted and etc etc.

just a note to say i really appreciate your perspective and your willingness to raise it with internet people. your comment here is one that i'd make at school but probably not on tumblr--the sady doyle incident scared me from ever wanting to engage someone online on a philosophical point. but, yeah, liberal self-congratulation is gross and self-sabotaging. thanks for having the energy to post this stuff.
