From a long term perspective this makes perfect sense. However as you know most investors (or people who claim to be investors) are merely speculators who want to make quick money. Be it in the equity market or the real estate :)

Re: Stable Investor: 10 Principles (actually 9) which ensure that First Financial Accident that occurs does not make You Bankrupt

Nice post. Simplicity is complex :)

Not sure if you have read Taleb's "Fooled by Randomness". He has made his fortune betting on black swan events. Pretty impressive reads, give a lot of non-financial wisdom as well. Would strongly recommend picking up that as well.

Re: Stable Investor: Message for RSS Readers & Those who want to win a Sleek Coffee Mug!!

Thanks for the post. Yes I have been a Google Reader users for many years, its sad and frustrating to know that Google decided to close it. I have been looking for an alternate, let me try feedly.

Re: Youth Curry - Insight on Indian Youth: A new sunrise

People never cared much about Gandhi as well. Towards the end of the freedom struggle he was gradually sidelined by the politicians. His thoughts were often in contradiction hence leading to a conflict of interest.

On 15th Aug 1947, when India gained independence and the entire nation was in a frenzy, Mahatma Gandhi was sitting in a small village (Kalahandi in WB, if I remember correctly) trying to use his methods of non-violence to stop communal riots. No one bothered to invite him to Delhi.

If that was the state of affairs back then, you can very well imagine what will be going on in my minds of our current politicians.

Re: Grüezi Zürich!

congrats
