To Deep River Voters:

As your retiring tax collector, I am asking you to vote for Lisa Bibbiani for Tax Collector at the November 3rd election. Lisa was hired as Assistant Tax Collector in April, 2008, and, in a short time, Lisa brought herself up to speed on all of the important functions of the Tax office. A quick and eager learner, she is currently in the midst of the second of four courses leading toward state certification for Tax Collectors. Lisa knows what is required for success in the tax office, and has prepared herself for that challenge.

A life-long Deep River resident, student in our local schools, and Valley Regional graduate, Lisa brought to the tax office an engaging personality and considerable experience in dealing directly with the public, valuable assets in a position that requires considerable attention to the concerns of individual taxpayers.

Lisa Bibbiani has a long and extensive record of community participation and service. Let’s look at that involvement:

Setting Stella Beaudoin's Record Straight:

Her Claim: Based on her experience as Assistant Town Clerk, Stella Beaudoin states she is ready to step into our Town Clerk's office on Day One.

Reality: The last year she served as Assistant Town Clerk was 1986; that was 23 years ago. And that service was in a town other than Deep River (Haddam).

Conclusion: Experience and knowledge that is 23 years old does not equal qualification for Deep River Town Clerk
