I follow your work, and Gary's work for a lot of the same reasons. Last year I launched a Hackerspace, and this year has been nothing but new mountains to conquer. Gary's book is en route, now I just can't wait to read yours.

Re: In order to launch @LAUNCH u have to show for 1st time–use placeholder like http://kokua.com

I think he meant that you can't show your product off before @launch, so if you want to put a up a website then use a placeholder page. Dad bought it while I was staying at my moms. When I came home he had that baby set up in the basement.

But WTF do I do with this if i'm not learning how to type? Well I promptly loaded up "Answering Machine", and convinced my dad to let us try it as the family answering service.

I don't know who was more excited me or him. He used that for years after we got a new PC. Every day wondering downstairs to see, and replay the wav's that it stored.

I think it was connected to one of those 13" monitors. I just remember it was very grey, and had those awesome wing speakers that hung off of each side. (Seriously SPEAKERS TO THE FACE.)

Either way, I really miss that. Also he welcomed Google Voice with open arms.

Re: Stellaris Evalbot Review and Giveaway on eecue.com : Dave Bullock / eecue

I tried and tried to work out my schedule to make it to this. We wants folks to be able to login at qccolab.com and access to tour bot. The bot will then start a semi-automated journey to show you around our space. I say semi because we want you to be able to stray from the preprogrammed tour. See something you like? Stop the bot go over and see what is going on. Maybe ask a question.

We would love to enable two way interaction so that if folks are in the space you can use the bot to communicate with them.

I really think this would be an awesome group hack because we get to use so many of our groups talents. From programming, to hardware, to the artists who will be making the shell.

Thanks for the giveaway, and encouraging Hackerspaces. I appreciate the effort.

Re: 10 things we still print that should be digital by now

I dig it.

Re: Android 2.2 Froyo for Nexus One Goes LIVE as OTA Download

Link seems to be broken for me for the 2.2 download.

Re: A Tweet Too Far? I looked at Leo Leporte's broadcasting rig that he took to CES. He built a similar system. But this seems like it would actually be cheaper in the long run. You pay a little more but it's got support behind it. If something breaks you just send it back. Plus having the 6 radios is very very nice.

Re: Red Crow Grille

I really like this deZign!
