I do believe Chris mentioned the time is NOW, so all the interactions of the last, what, 5 years never happened. A lot of these folk are meeting for the first time, but the start point is essentially the same. With a couple small fixes, as the ûber-fans have mentioned. :)

I, for one, am LOVING the tweaks in the strip, and am eager to see where they're going with it. (And I've always gotten the impression that Jimmy's either asexual or bisexual, perhaps, but not in the creepy Rondel way. Wishful thinking, maybe, but he DID kiss the Asian night janitor at the party a couple years ago.) ^_^

Um... I rather got the impression that this particular strip was plot progression, rather than funny, those of you saying "rape isn't funny". And Jasmine MAY be a bit funny, but she's still an evil mudgrubber.
