Hey Andy
I spent a lot of time researching no follow and after all the crap I read some of the info on your site and used that as a major factor of switching to do follow,so thanks for that.
As far as that sinking ship and the interview.I found going on Blogcatalog to be the most UNPRODUCTIVE use of time period.
I mean even twitter brings more traffic,since they deleted my account for whatever reason.I have been MUCH better off.
They may have pageviews and people but even the Titanic had people on it.
Although you and many people may disagree I respect you accepting where I'm coming from and adding this.
I always thought you were a marketing site so I avoided your site and saw your name all over.But I will say I respect your knowledge Peace OUT;)

I don't get the whole don't bother me cause I'm awesome and your a troll.The people that say they aren't are the biggest ones from what I see.
If I was you I would be doing everything to OPEN blogcatalog.I'd have a chat room LIVE for adults unmoderated.I would have a live stream with ads,meaning I'd have a radio feature.I already made a BC toolbar for myself.I would be looking to open not close.We'll see what happens.
This is the internet and competition is fierce.I would be adding not subtracting.I would build 24/7 and not stop.I do have respect for you I just wanted you to know that.If it's not broke don't fix it funny how I don't have a problem with spam I must not be LEET enough.

Hey Jack it was weird to hear you talking with Heather. She is a great person but like everyone if someone wants to talk smack about you they will find something.
I have been a fan of yours at a distance for a while and thought the interview was excellent.I was actually working on a off the wall post called "Dealing with the Darkside of Blogging".I have to keep moving past any disappointments and focus on the fact that the glass is very much half FULL;)
The whole premise of my blog is why do we idolize the wrong people.I heard you mention some names and quite frankly alot of people when they got a little fame turn into snobs or as I say "jerks'. The one thing of the many that I like about Heather is that she stays true to her husband and her people. We have to be careful that we can even benefit from success.I rather be broke and real then have an alledged 6 fiqure income like you see some many people spouting.
Marketeers beware your running out of customers and with money being real tight people may just snap when they realize they been had.Me I'm not perfect but I write about things bloggers need to know.I respect you as a man with many talents and I hope that you would consider submitting your profile to one of my new projects bloganese.com.Also once my son is back in school I'll be doing my show on Ustream called The BLOG REPORT I'll have plenty of nice things to say and I hope one day we cross paths .

I just left you a sweet review on stumble in reference to my comment on that excellent interview with Heather.I could of been more positive;)
As far as do follow and the fact that I'm on the front page of google 2x's I will just say that I got involved not for the comment,links or seo benefit etc.
I was falsely lead to believe that I would be opening myself up to all these cool people that would be active with each other and it would be a love feast.
Nothing could be further from the truth. I found the main bloggers involved to be just as selfish and self centered as the rest. I even put a huge banner on my ustream channel for a guy who runs a dofollow directory. Told him about it and didn't hear BOO. Well that's all good. I was prowling around your blog and come to find out I had a wrong impression about you and your information. I find that your topics are right on point and that your not just some sales guru. I was getting the emails over the last few months. This just shows you that we can be wrong and wrong often in the Blogging world.
I keep comments do follow and open and now look it as a place to connect with people and I often HOOK up people that comment on my blog with some serious do follow backlinks but I don't tell them. To me this system had worked very well. Basically I look at it as "pure juice". I never get negative feedback or comments that aren't related to the post.So all is well.I'm going to sign up for the affiliate program and taking a closer more accurate look at your work ;)

In my experience.The biggest effect is the owners.In the mid size communities I have seen the owners disregard the members.People on line like in life like to feel special and appreciated.Also cliques like on Blogcatalog you have 6-10
members that can ruin an entire site.People online want traffic and it's difficult to make strong alliances because most people are self centered and don't think of others.They want visitors,they want people to click on their ads but they don't themselves.You can see what people are doing or not doing.I'm glad I have a nice group that I don't have to stress this anymore but it took 1000's of people to find 10 real ones:)

Since I have meet you I have been secretly checking the baseball scores I haven't really watched a game since last year and I watched plenty Yankee games last year.
I was thinking about the blog and trying to decipher
what was going on.Names change way to quick now days
on August 2nd I did A tribute Post to Thurman Munson
and using some of his cards in the post made me cry
more then once....
America can and is loosing alot of things let's
hope they never loose baseball.

what strikes me as weird is one man's spam is anothers steak
they few times I have been accused of "spamming" I go and check the person
making the accusation and I always laugh cause compared to me they are spamkings
I just do my thing and don't sweat the small stuff
But I found that people that worry about spam and trolls
are in fact guilty themselves they just think there's is LEGIT;)
and they are just those snobs that have nothing better to do

All those sites and bookmarks are good but not half as powerful as a good person that is hard working and keeps their word :)
