I have two Fuji cameras. I used to have an X100F, but I upgraded to X100VI. I also have a Fuji GW690II. All my other cameras are not Fuji. The digital ones are mostly Apple devices or Micro 4/3.

I came to say the same thing. How come my very new 100VI still has the Instax printing feature, but it only works with OLD Instax printers and specifically does not work with new ones? It makes no sense.

It would be so fun to walk around with X100VI, take photos, and be able to give Instax prints to people on the spot with no phone or computer involved.

I would definitely buy one if the price was right. But since it’s a special use case, I wouldn’t use it often enough to justify a high price tag. As a non-pro it would only make sense if I started specializing in pano shots.

The viewfinder is the killer feature.

The hybrid viewfinder is exclusive to Fuji. I don't know if it's possible for anyone to mimic it. Perhaps patents are in the way?

The only other options for an optical viewfinder in a high quality digital camera that I know of are DSLRs with mirrors or Leica.

EDIT: Others commented that you can't truly check the focus with the Fuji rangefinder. That's true. There are some ways to check focus in the optical finder, but they are half-measures, such as using the ERF in the corner.

However, for me it's not about checking focus. Not having 100% coverage is not a problem either. It's about seeing the actual world and not looking at a screen. It may not be important for others, but that's what sells it for me. It's also something unique that other cameras don't have.

If M43 wants to sell, it needs to have a unique thing to set it apart from the others. If they could deliver a true optical rangefinder, at a M43 size and price, I think that would be a huge hit. Since, as people pointed out, that's pretty much only currently available from Leica.

I got the X100F in 2017. Just upgraded to VI.

I used the X100F more than all my other cameras combined. I expect the same from the VI. I also can't really imagine needing to upgrade it unless they have some truly astonishing new feature.

I have the silver X100F, and I'm definitely upgrading to X100VI.
I'm not going to vote, since I'm undecided. I think I like silver more, but I also kind of want to go black for a change of pace.

Very interested in possible special editions for more options. I have quite a few cameras, and I use my X100F more than all the other cameras combined. If there is a special edition in some other color, I will probably go for it.

I've got an X100F, and it's by far my most used camera. There's really nothing I desire with regards to its image capturing abilities. It's just got some minor hangups, like the wireless support being useless and still using micro USB.

If they really do make a new model in the series, I could go for that. I'm sure I can even get some money back selling the X100F.

But the question is, of course, will there be an XPro4? Maybe it would be a better idea to go for that, if it exists, since I'd also have the ability to change lenses.

You know how it seems like every summer the NYPD seems to go on a mission against illegal dirt bikes? They confiscate them, and then they make a big deal posting videos of them getting smashed.

I don't know if this is the best policy, if it's effective, or what. But I do wonder, what if they did this to cars?

What if all the vehicles that aren't street legal, have fake or obscured plates, have too many violations, make too much exhaust noise, etc. were towed and crushed? People spending so much money on these cars and trucks might at least be persuaded to keep them off the public streets if there was a good chance it would end up crushed into a cube.

If it's legal to do it to the bikes, why not cars and trucks?

It's good to go after the source of the fake plates, but that seems like a game of cat and mouse. Going after the drivers is also difficult. But going after the vehicles themselves seems a lot easier. You can just walk around any neighborhood and see them parked everywhere.

There are some things which are of such significant importance to society as a whole. Even when these things are wholly privately owned, we do not permit their private owners to do with them anything they please. This why we have laws about historical landmarks.

We need similar laws for digital landmarks. Even though Amazon privately owns this web site, it is too significant to society to be taken down. They can sell it. They can stop updating it. They can make it read-only. But we should create a law that requires any owner to keep this site, and any others like it, up forever.

Just get rid of comments entirely. For your writers to publish something on your site it has to pass through editors and get approval. But any shmo like me can just write something off the top of their head, and you publish it with barely a review!

Go back the old way and take letters to the editor that are curated, and publish those that are worthy. If someone wants to comment on something, they can make a post on their own social media or blog with a link to your article.

I strongly urge my fellow Jewish people to please understand that anti-zionism is not anti-semitism. Israel is a country. It has, and continues to, engage in activities and policies that are worthy of criticism. Criticizing that country's actions in no way implies a prejudice or hatred for the Jewish people on the basis of their religion and/or culture. The same goes for all countries. I'm sure all of us regularly criticize the actions of various countries, including the USA, but in no way feel any hatred or prejudice against their people. In fact, we criticize those countries because we love their people and want their lives, and the lives of all people, to be uplifted.

The point of congestion pricing isn't to make money. The point is to reduce congestion and pollution, and increase traffic safety by having less cars on the road. If Jersey people stay in Jersey, then the program is a success. That's exactly the goal we are trying to achieve. Also, Jersey people can always use the train or bus. Maybe they should reconsider building that extra train tunnel?

Studies estimate that a single car driving into Manhattan on a weekday costs us $160 in externalities. If that car trip doesn't generate $160 in profits, then we are actually better off if that car had just stayed home.

Even if it's a tourist that spend a ton on hotels, souvenirs, food, and entertainment, you still end up with a situation where the city and state is subsidizing those businesses indirectly.

It's sounds ridiculous number but we actually would be better off economically if we charged something like $80-$100 per car, even if it causes people to stay home. Better yet, if they use some other form of transportation. They'll still spend the same on all those other things, and won't cause $160 of damage by driving.

There's an old news reel about Hart Island on YouTube. In the video it clearly shows a baseball field where inmates played ball. It's also specifically mentioned that seats were taken from Ebbet's field and placed at the Hart Island field.

Are the seats still there? If not, where are they?
