I was number 8 for The Netherlands, with the two people above me being extremely much higher up in the Tumblarity index. Let's say they would have had to stop posting altogether for me to ever be able to catch up on them. But here's the odd thing: both were adult sites (I do not mean erotic artistic photography, just plain old porn). Now suddenly, those two are gone and I am number 5 for The Netherlands. Still, my index went down like 100 points from this morning. Even though I have posted with the same regularity I always do, and gotten the same average of likes and reblogs I regularly get.

In short: it has to be a very obscure feature, with no discerning logic as to its behaviour.

Re: no no i like weird music i am pretty sure

I'm sorry to hear that. I mean it. You do make my day better with your posts, comments and funny banter. I work alone, with almost no physical interaction with other people, sometimes up to 16 hours a day. And you are one of the people who I came to regard as my "invisible coworker" heheheh... hang in there!

Re: Applied Culture

wrestling + wassailing = ghetto clowns on a ratty mattress? sounds about right. So, I wasn't trying to confront with you because you had (valid) criticism, but I was trying to explain where I was coming from. I also make the mistake of forgetting others read what I post and might lack context as to where I am coming from. It starts with access to education. Without that, most people will not question what they are consuming, be it food or any other product. It takes awareness to realize that what you are eating is not necessarily the best or even good for you.

It takes critical thinking abilities to realize that when you are feeding your kids a variety of corn syrup on a daily basis you are contributing to the perpetuation of the cycle of poverty to yet, another generation. Those kids who already cannot have access to proper schooling, living in the inner cities, being labeled with ADD or a myriad forms of autism and left out of any incentive or future scholarship because of the effect that what they eat has on their brains. In order to realize that, you need to have been exposed to the tools/ education that such realization would require.

What I am trying to say is that there are other, equally important factors that precede access to the marketplace.

Re: linda should be painting - Applied Culture’s post reminded me of this… “Ken...

Oh dear, the Brighton festival sounds like so much fun! However, I surely am happy I don't have to go to New York. Too long trip (2 and a half weeks) and too hectic. Both my business partners are going instead.
