I don't think it's a black and white issue. It's gray, as is everything. From this NYTimes article [http://www.nytimes.com/2012...]:

"The White House had said that the legislation could lead to an improper military role in overseeing detention and court proceedings and could infringe on the president’s authority in dealing with terrorism suspects. But it said that Mr. Obama could interpret the statute in a way that would preserve his authority. The president, for example, said that he would never authorize the indefinite military detention of American citizens, because “doing so would break with our most important traditions and values as a nation.” He also said he would reject a “rigid across-the-board requirement” that suspects be tried in military courts rather than civilian courts."

An important thing to understand, I think, is that it is immensely difficult to do what Spielberg does: to create a completely engrossing story that sweeps you away. It's different from what Kubrick does, but it is not trivial.

The book is a lot of fun but reeks of amateurish structure; there's really no pay off to it, especially if it is distilled into a two hour screenplay. So it is inevitable that the movie adaptation needs a reworked story. Anyway! Looks fun.

I agree with Erin Jones' above comments, but I also think this protest is doing more to inconvenience thousands of people than it is sending a message to BART of raising awareness of anything.

Living in SF the past four years, protests/ demonstrations/ gatherings like this happen from time to time. The difference here is that there is more media attention due to Anonymous than there are people who care to protest.

(AND a giant crowd in an underground station flanked by electrified train tracks is a dangerous situation, which is what caused BART's braindead move in the first place).
