I think you should re read the article....last I checked Will M. had 4 hits in 23 at bats this playoff season. Although he was not hitting well....I'd take a chance that Will M. may hit the ball on occasion. As the article states this is the fourth worst hitting performance in the history of the playoffs with 40 at bats or more. I like Drew...good guy he's not quitting good in the field, but the stats don't lie.

I don't see how the Bogarts at SS and Middlebrooks at third could not be better than trotting out DREW who has become an Auto out....in St. Louis with the pitcher batting..that translates into two auto outs in the lineup...not good.

I think you can make that argument, you can also argue to let Lackey stay in to finish the inning. Hard to win every game in the playoff...Sox will come back and win the series.

Plus he misses a lot of time ...anyone who follows the team knows that the slightest nick and he's out for 3 months. He's a good player not a great one. Victorino was signed with the "understanding" that Ellsbury would not be back after this season.

Enjoy it...why worry about folks like me who got it wrong. In my case I did not like the Gomes and Victorino deals. All of the deals so far except the one you left out for Drew have gone extremely well. Your right BC does deserve credit as do the players and the manager.

YUP. anytime Bailey comes in he is almost guaranteed to give up a big bomb...he likes to throw his sloppy slow stuff right down the pike. He's a bust, I hope they can move him out of Boston...tired of the Bailey act.
