That is, only 0.085% of the population.</p><p>So the other 99.15% of us have to put up with reduced picture size and the distraction of a signing person on the right hand side of the screen, at certain times on the digital BBC News channel.</p><p>Optionlly, deaf people may press a single button to have subtitles.</p><p>I wonder how much of our tv licence money is spent annually to provide the sign language for those 0.085% and how many of them are actually watching?</p>andymaslinWed, 15 Jul 2009 10:15:29 -0000
