Who knew getting laid off for a little while would bring our little one. See you soon.

Re: http://www.iamvika.com/post/590082637

I simply cite an old Simpsons' episode. During the great "bear scare" in Springfield, Homer is on edge and claims the new "Bear Patrol" that includes jets and soldiers are keeping the bears away. They only ever saw one bear to begin with, so Lisa pipes up, calls it "specious reasoning" and says "Dad, I have stick that keeps tigers away." Homer responds, "Prove it." Lisa responds, "You don't see any tigers around. " Homer then asks her how he would have to pay to buy the "Tiger Repellant" device.

I regard prayer the same way. So if "God" "answers" a prayer and "saves" the person, it is a "miracle." If the person dies, "it was their time and God called them home." So either way, God had a "hand in it." That is specious at best.

You can no more prove God exists than I can prove faeries or unicorns, but then again no one ever got murdered in the name of faeries and unicorns. Either God is quite an arbitrary god or just kind of dick.

Re: http://www.sweetlittleone.com/post/538935066

Hey Little one,

I forgot how to post, so I am just going to comment on your Mom's post. You are getting bigger and I grow prouder and more excited by the day. I don't want to get to excited, your mother tends to more easily excitable, but I am stoked.

All was good at the Dr.'s office. Good nasal cavity and great back of the neck skin thing. I heard alot of things about Jewish diseases today, but I am not worried. My strong, stubborn Irish genes will prevail. I just pray you don't get (and this is real) Maple Syrup Urine Disease. That would be just scary, not tomention your mother would be changing diapers on a permanent basis.

See you in a month and hopefully see which sex you are.

Peace

Re: http://www.iamvika.com/post/531905683

I do hate Creed and I love this. And here I go.

So why do LGBTs not have marriage rights? Because the Christian community says its biblically wrong, so what does that have to do with the law? Nothing, seems like a established religion is infringing on human rights and the only "evidence" against gay marriage is a centuries old book written by men, errantly translated from old languages, assembled by men that took only the parts that minorly matched up to their anachronistic/"Dark Ages" views into a somewhat coherrent story, and then its meaning interpreted by men (Swaggert, Baker, Haggard, etc.).

"Christian" nation indeed. If so, maybe its time for Americans to look at the Constitution and give basic rights to people who have been denied them.

Vika, apologies for using your blog as my pulpit.

Re: iamvika (Last night, I fell asleep singing Soft Kitty. Heinz yellow mustarrd is the best plain yellow out there. Nothing better on a hotdog.
