I enjoy your honest discussion about a variety of topics relating to the Mormon church (being a member myself). I do find the whole prop 8 thing to be quite awful and some of the hurt that it caused within my awesome Seattle ward still lingers (not to mention the difficulty it has caused with missionary work). I just want to point out that our scriptures for our modern times, The Book of Mormon and Doctrine and Covenants, never mention anything about sodomy or homosexuality. There is just a tacit endorsement of man-woman relationships by never mentioning an alternative. However, if our ancient prophets saw and knew our modern day struggles (which is church doctrine) why have they left us with so little information on the topic?</p>
