I studied abroad in Beijing for a year, before studying another year in Taiwan. Though, Beijing is no Taiwan but I LOVE THAT CITY! Enjoy your time there! Hope you get the chance to check out 798藝術區 and 南鑼鼓巷 which is in close proximity to 後海, a bar district at night. =] HAVE FUN!

It's really tricky to figure out a balance between being strict and not. And boys are especially hard. I know from experience of taking care of family friend's kids, I usually reward them if they're good but not sure if that would work in your case. Though, maybe you should start one of those star programs where they get stickers and whoever has the most stickers gets a cute prize at the end of the whatever course. =D

The time I went to SML was also foggy so we didn't even bother to wake up early for the sunrise. The lady at the BnB told us "There's no sun tomorrow." LOL

We also hiked up to Ci En Pagoda. Did you stand on top? The view was gorgeous but it was windy the day we went so I got scared a little. Bahhhhh

I still haven't explored Taichung yet. =[

As someone who has travels a lot, I don't like standing out in a crowd in a foreign country, and pulling out a DSLR from my purse doesn't help with that. I normally carry my camera in a regular purse because I like the fact that it doesn't scream out "tourist" or "photographer" right away. The only problem I have with this is that I don't have any protection in my regular purse and because of the weight from the DSLR and other essentials, my purses are always breaking a part. The Brooklyn bag would be ideal because it is well crafted and made to withstand the weight of a DSLR and other equipment while also not looking like a typical DSLR bag.

Grade hard. They are used to it. My profs in Taiwan give at most 85 for students are amazingly good cuz they want them to not be so hot-headed about their grade but work even harder next time!

Good plan. It's cool that your family is supportive? Well it seems like they are if they are willing to spend a lengthy amount of time. If they weren't, I'd assume they would just get mad and it would only take like 10 minutes.

Man, you must be serious about your relationship. Maybe we're at different phrases in our lives so that's why I can't understand why you would put in the effort to make the gesture to move. I guess I'll have to go through that sort of decision making when I find someone that's worth that compromise.

First off, you're so generous! I've been following since you first started on Tumblr, always motivating to read. I can't believe it's almost two years! Good job, girl! :D

1. My hair. My hair has a natural wave and I love it. I'm also Asian so I guess it's kind of rare since a lot of Asians have straight hair. I would never get my hair permanently straightened because I like the way my hair surprises me every time I let it dry by itself. To some, my hair be a mess, maybe beach hair-like but to me, I think the waves at the ends add so much definition to my character.

2. I'm currently studying abroad in Taiwan and flying home is too expensive but my parents are coming Christmas Eve so I plan on taking them out for dinner and paying. I've never paid for the bill before, when I'm with my parents but this time, I want to. Not because I have made lots of money or anything (I'm still a college student) but because it's one of those sentimental things that I feel is necessary to give back to my parents. Whenever I buy gifts for my parents, they always say, "Oh that was too expensive. I don't need it. Return it, please." So, I think dinner is the best gift I can give to them, without them feeling bad about it.

Haha you know it wasn't until last week that I finally realized I have clothes in my closet (plenty, in fact!) to wear. The last three weeks I've been wearing all the clothes I brought back from China... to the point where I had to do laundry. I'm on my last week now before I leave for Taiwan! And, I'm just starting to go through all the stuff in my closet. After coming back, I realized one thing: I have too much stuff and it's always going to be that way for the most part. I get really attached to things. So, going through my closet is like going back to elementary school. I seriously have clothes from elementary school that sort of fit me or don't but I just want to keep them cuz they are memories. =/

Buying stuff in Taiwan is no surprise, so what I'm doing right now is cleaning my closet of all the things that I always passed as "maybe wearing again" and just giving it to Salvation Army because I know when I get back, I won't really want it anymore so it's better if I clean my closet for all the stuff I will have this time next year.
