Chaos, little to no empathy, almost no trust in experts and mostly a man who likes to win and is willing to lie and steal doing it. But, from all past experiences, Trump actually gives up once he is beaten. He moves on to the next battle, declares a victory, but he is gone. He has done this dozens of times. It seem like he knows he is beaten, He know there is no real popular support to his ideas. He has not made an impact in any area which he tried. This pattern is true for everything he has done in life (read "Everything Trump Touches Dies"). So trying to stay on, is not in his character at all. He may be strange and he blames others and does not take responsibility, but when the game is over, he goes on to e a new one. https://uploads.disquscdn.c...

Re: Baltimore Jewish Life | Benny Gantz Borrows Tefillin From Boro Park Seforim Publisher

The American legal term "indictment" is not exactly parallel to the Israeli legal equivalent. Essentially reading and writing is not picked up by most people. This was always the case. Steve Jobs laughed at Amazon for the Kindle. His reasoning? On an average, Americans read one book a year. So why should they buy a device that can hold 200 to 1,000 books? We are seeing this divide now that the blog, essentially personal writing, is going on 25 years. Nice to see that you are a word person!

Re: Is the Age of Social Media as We Know It Over?

Great writing on the state of social-media change. From an American perspective it seems obvious to think of technology and psychology as a solution. But the phenomenon of ISIS comes from economy and security. In many countries people have been dieing and hungry for decades. Work on educating small Muslim children from an early age and send Iraq engineers, doctors and teachers. Then, after balancing the spending between destruction and consideration, start thinking about psychology. Sorry for the preaching, Adams is a funny guy, but knows nothing about the real world

Re: Social Networks for Engineers

It seems like social networking tends to mean "new social networking" or "big / mainstream" sites. What’s Next?

There is a lingering impression among marketers from the days of limited channel size: TV, newspapers, magazines, catalogs, etc... This simply seems like perspective of entrenched experienced marketers and publishers. While traditional marketing business is benefiting from new technology and using the term "content marketing" as a rally cry to move forward, there are many new marketers who simply blog, network, publish and influence. Without the strings to traditional formats and channels they are showing everyone that "content" counts, but most of all relevant, focused, direct and highly specific writing and networking is what we can do today. Anyway, great writing and good to see links and discussions in this group.

Re: 7 Costly LinkedIn Publisher Mistakes You Should Never Make

Great basic points, good to have in one place.

Re: How to Solve the Marketing Skills Gap In Your Company

the section: "Because today’s marketers don’t want to deal with technology."
seems a bit harsh. In the case where "they don't want" -- I would say, dump your iPhone and close down your Twitter account. I face this all the time and find it very strange. This tends to be really true with older experienced marketers with deep domain knowledge (they know the field, products, customers and competitors) - sorry to make such a weeping generalization (about older marketers). One solution is to hire a younger (or more capable "digital") specialist that will do some of the work (configure tools, edit HTML, design and process images) and also teach the others some skills. Overall GREAT topic and writing.

Re: 5 Simple Hacks That Will Boost Your Productivity at Work

a very long piece about focus... never the less, gives a snapshot of your (maybe personal) distraction perspective. Taking notes, keeping "laundry" lists, prioritizing, cleaning up tasks, all this "getting things done stuff" is very old, maybe a century old. It would be nice to 1. have it in smaller pieces so we can digest it without making this blog a "distraction" 2. use classic or modern references to get this blog less "daPulse" exclusive feel -- David Allen's "getting things done" is one good starter piece. Linked-In is a wonderful tool, but it needs work to get yourself enough contacts, some kind of reputation in the groups, and enough "re-published" (or even original) posts. Prospecting using advanced search is also time consuming. But, in some industries, this is one of the only resource with the data you may need. Like where a person worked and what he has done 10 years ago. We use it extensively, together with other resources (data.com, zoominfo) and with a good work flow and enough practice it pays of. Thanks for the info, I learned a few small tricks here.

Re: Hear the Story of B2B Marketing Influencer Murray Newlands

Hi Valerie, I wanted to comment for two reasons. 1) You have a great blog and this article is nicely written. A follow up on how to do PR with bloggers and more casual editors which are not the traditional publications would be nice to see. 2) You hardly see comments on your blog. So I assume there is some promotion in the social media channels (as before in blogs and less mainstream sites as well). So I hope this helps gets the trend starting (commenting and participating that is ;-)

Re: NYPD Twitter campaign backfires in a big way

What an excellent way to figure out what people think of you.
