Looks like there is a lot of culture there, thanks for sharing the pictures!

Re: A Returned Expatriate’s Lament

You mention one thing that has bothered me for quite awhile, the greed that many Americans have, especially those of corporations. I completely understand what you are talking about in that regard. There are, however, millions of Americans who are barely able to get by, so I would also add that not every American is rolling around full of greed, not thinking about others or their hardships. I know from experience, I have seen the kindness Americans can offer, the issue usually is that they ignore what they don't see.

I am not sure that we can condemn people for using their own money as they see fit, they earned it on their own. It can be disheartening at times to see their lack of caring, selfishness, but again, that is not all of America, that is just some of American.

It is this type of awareness that turned me from a regular college student to a bit of an activist. I found myself in a position to where I thought there was a problem and I could ignore it and continue on, run away, or turn and face it head on and try to raise awareness, in hopes to bring some change. I chose to face it, educate people and try to get more people involved.

Re: Every Man A Giant: Fort Hood

It is a sad moment. Thanks for sharing your thoughts on this.

Re: Perfect Offsets Of the Future!

Though I think your point may be a bit extreme, I enjoyed the post anyway, lol. I don't think off sets are going to prevent the worst cases of climate change, so we definitely need to move in another direction...and fast.

Re: Throwing off the Curve

lol damn. I generally try to actually pass the test "without" the curve, and if a curve makes my grade better, than kick ass. If not, well, then at least I can't get mad at someone like you who has such high scores ! hah. :)

Re: Home Sweet Home

Yeah, I would guess it was University of Michigan from the picture, since I don't recognize it from Michigan State, but I am not always the most observant person on the earth either. :P

Re: Home Sweet Home

Hey, I CARE! :) Congratulations on finishing the research. I would be interested in reading about your results. Were you at the University of Michigan or Michigan State University? (or somewhere else?) I was just at MSU yesterday, myself.

Re: Sorry for the lack of updates.

Mm, Sleep is good !! :)

Re: The crisis

lol. I used to be a member of 20 something bloggers with my previous blogs. I guess I should reconnect there. Unfortunately, all of my lovely followers have no idea who I am now.

As far as the quarter life confusion, I know exactly what you mean. I am a little passed that in life (2 years :P), but still feel the after affects. lol.

Even though I am doing all right, I still have the confusion. Then again, maybe that's just me in general. Always confused. :P haha.

Great post, thanks for sharing and doing the swap. I like the idea. :)

Re: I hate shopping

lol. Wal-mart is the worst when it comes to that stuff. I haven't shopped at one in years, I forgot how annoying it can be when it's busy. The best time to shop is super late, when not many people are around. Hooray 24 hour grocery stores. :D

Re: A Virgin?

I think it is definitely respectable that, more than anything, you've stuck to your own beliefs, whether you're a virgin or not, as you mentioned, it does not define who you are. I can imagine it is more difficult in today's society to even talk about it, since it does seem like everyone is doing it.

My personal experience, though not related to sex, is that being too picky (again, not referring to sex on this) can push people away. It wasn't until I learned to relax a little and sometimes just go with the flow that I felt happy with who I was entirely.

I noticed a lot of people commenting on regretting doing it, which is unfortunate, but there are also people out there who do not. The biggest thing with any major decision in your life is, do it when it's right for you. I believe that is what you're doing and you definitely deserve respect for that.

Thanks for posting. :)

Re: Americans are stupid and I’m suppose to be proud

LOL. This had me laughing in real life. Thanks for that, I needed it. Sorry that you have to put up with such idiocy, but it at least makes a good story to share. It sounds like you travel a lot. :)

Re: How to be an annoying roommmate

first time to your blog and the title instantly caught my attention, so I had to of course read the post. Your roomie sucks, but you already know that. Sorry to hear it, nonetheless. Hopefully you can have a meeting and solve the roomie crisis.
