The only challenge was the lack of really fresh stuff from not being able to goo to the store all week. I think this is why I haven't done as well on some of the other challenges, because we do eat so many fresh foods, that it is hard to learn to cook from cans and storage (other than the store whole grains).

Re: The 7 Day Challenge: Day 4 (SATURDAY)

Fortunately, the water thing would be okay for us, temporarily. We also store our empty milk jugs filled with water in the garage for "non-clean" water to use in emergencies, like flushing the toilet. That came in handy! Didn't get around to baking bread today, but had somei n the freezer to use. Thanks for making us think about many different scenerios!

Re: The 7 Day Challenge: Day 3 (FRIDAY)

worked out okay, but wednesday and today has taught me to have more recipes that our family likes that includes food storage items!

Re: The 7 Day Challenge: Day 2 (THURSDAY)

Overall did pretty good on this one. Also, it has become a discipline issue with our little ones about not eating all the food at once. Another discipline issue is safety over candles and our cookstove with a 3 and 4 year old and trying to keep them safe, since we usually do not use these items. What an eye opener!
